Crocheted Scarf Project/Red Heart Boutique Sassy Fabric

Hello Everyone!

Disclaimer:
My apologies for the missing pictures. My pictures were accidentally deleted off my blog. Please Refer to my Instagram account miss_pilar to view the pictures (or some of the pictures) that were deleted.

Disclaimer: The only yarn mentioned in this post that was sent to me for review is the Red Heart Boutique Sassy Fabric. Everything else was purchased and made by me.

It's time for another Red Heart Yarn review and project :) Today's review doesn't include an actual yarn, but this lace strip material. This material is 100% polyester and made it's debut in 2013.

I think this fabric is so pretty, but I definitely had a love/hate relationship with it.

Pros
- nice material
- perfect for making scarves
- good length
- most hooks fit through the lace strips openings
- very easy to crochet

Cons
- The material twisted a lot while I crocheted
- The material twisted so much that I had to cut the material a few times to finish my scarf.

Overall I thought this material was ok. I know some of you may wonder how was it even possible to crochet this scarf? I felt the same way, but it was so easy! A beginner or even someone with no crocheting skills could possibly crochet this scarf as well. You can knit this material as well.  The holes at the top make the project really simple. You can look at the tutorial inside the package, or view videos on the website (I think they have a tutorial for this on the site) and youtube. I'm unsure if I would purchase this material because of all the twisting, it was really aggravating. If I do purchase this material, I'll have to try to find a better way to not to get the material twisted.

Here are some more pictures of the scarf I made

That's some pretty interesting yarn/fabric! I just bought some crochet hooks on Amazon so hopefully I can crochet something too. The scarf turned out great, I've never seen something like that before!

Well you did a great job making it work Pilar. It's ashame, because the print is so pretty. Material is everything. It can make it either easy or difficult to work with. Again, great job!

Thank you! I know right! I love the print, it was just that annoying twisting issue with the material that caused an issues with my project. Other than the twisting, making the scarf was fairly simple!

Sorry the material twisted on you, but in the end you do have a lovely scarf. Live the print too. Can't wait for what you crochet next.

Thank you! The material twisting was rather annoying, but it's still a good material though.
