Halloween Coasters / Red Heart Reflective Yarn Review

Hello Everyone!

Disclaimer:
My apologies for the missing pictures. My pictures were accidentally deleted off my blog. Please Refer to my Instagram account miss_pilar to view the pictures (or some of the pictures) that were deleted.

Disclaimer : The only yarn mentioned in this post that was sent to me is the Red Heart Reflective Yarn. Everything else was purchased and made by me.

Happy October!  Since Fall is here,  what better way to acknowledge the season than to make a few Halloween coasters?!

First I'm going to review this Reflective Yarn (Neon Orange) 3.5 oz  that sent was to me by Red Heart (See First Impressions Post)

This was a pretty cool yarn to make my projects with. The texture is both soft and rough. The yarn in general is relatively soft, but the reflective string that runs throughout the yarn gives it a rough feel. Since I made a few simple items, I had left over. However,  I would suggest purchasing more if your going to make a larger crafting project etc. I think it's kind of neat how when you turn the flash on your camera the yarn lights up. Thus the name "reflective yarn". The only con I had is the reflective yarn would get caught outside my crocheting hook sometimes as I crocheted. That might have happen since I didn't use the recommended K hook. I used an H hook instead. I give this yarn a B, and depending on the project, I would purchase this yarn in the future.

Check out www.redheart.com for more yarns and information!

Even though I made these coasters for Halloween, I can use them throughout the Fall. I'll probably just remove the Jack O Lantern coaster.

Other Products Used

Thanks Ashley! I haven't forgotten my dream of trying to start YouTube videos and including some beginner crochet tutorials. I would love to get that up and running! The pumpkin was a last minute item, but I'm glad I included it!

Aww thanks! Lately I've been really thinking about starting a YouTube channel in addition to my blog. I want to get a better quality camera first! lol I would love to start making videos next year!

Thank you! You're probably not uncreative! Crocheting is a skill that takes a lot of patience. I remember when I started crocheting I used to want to throw my crocheting hook because I would get frustrated lol. I'm glad I kept at it became crocheting is one of my favorite hobbies now!

Thank you for the kind words!

Thank you! It would cool if I could make crocheting a profession! I usually just make stuff for people if they want to put in an order. My infinity scarves sell nicely!
