The Christmas Tag 2014

Hello Everyone!

I've seen the Christmas Tag going around, so I wanted to join the fun and share some of my Christmas memories and traditions.

Questions

1. What is your favorite Christmas Movie/s?

A Christmas Story! I always watch it on TBS every year. ( you know when TBS shows the 24 hr marathon) I also like the cartoon version of How The Grinch Stole Christmas! I have both DVD as well!

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?

Both! I may open one gift on Christmas Eve, but I usually wait until Christmas morning!

3. Do you have a favorite Christmas memory?

Going to see Christmas lights. One in particular was an elderly couple who put up this gorgeous light display every year with Santa Claus, reindeer, etc. It was so cool they even had a little pond in their back yard with Christmas decor. They would have cars lined up to see their house and people would stand around as well. I also liked to help decorate the Christmas tree, it was so much fun!

4. Favorite festive food?

This may sound weird, but it's homemade lasagna. It's one of my favorite foods my mom makes for my birthday dinner/ (Christmas). I didn't realize until a few years ago some people eat Lasagna on Christmas.

5. Favorite Christmas gift?

I've had so many wonderful Christmas gifts, so all of them are special to me in some way :) It's hard to choose just one.

6. Favorite Christmas scent?

Bath and Body Works used to have a candle called Winter Musk, but now I think it's called Winter. The candle used to be in a small glitter silver jar shaped like a Christmas bulb with a cute top. It smelled just like Christmas.

7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?

Christmas Eve is usually low key. I may finish wrapping gifts, cooking, and watching TV. Sometimes I see my best friend unless he has to work and if so, I'll see him a few days later.

8. What tops your tree?

Usually a star. For some reason I don't know why there's no star on top of the tree in this picture...I think the lights didn't work lol

9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?

A Barbie Jeep! I didn't get one, but I got a beautiful Barbie Dream House instead! I was pretty stoked that Christmas!

10. What's the best part about Christmas for you?

This one is kind of sentimental for me because my mom always tells me Happy Birthday first...then Merry Christmas. For those born on Christmas such as myself know the holiday can overshadow our birthday lol. I'm very fond of giving gifts, to see the happy look on someone's face is priceless.  I love everything about Christmas it's truly the most wonderful time of year!

I tag anyone who wants to participate! Leave your link so I can read your responses!  Happy Holidays!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

This was nice! I love How The Grinch Stole Christmas. I never get tired of it. That older couple, sounds like they were the best. I bet their decorations were beautiful. I like people that share with others. That's nice. We need more people in the world like that.
Very nice Pilar.

Thank you Kim! I never get tired of How The Grinch Stole Christmas either! It's a classic Christmas cartoon! The elderly couple put up the decorations because the Elementary school I went to was down the street and they wanted to decorate for the children. They didn't have any children. My mom told me the last year the decorations were put up, the public helped with the display because the elderly man had cancer and was too ill to put up his decorations. I thought that was so kind that the community came together to let him see his Christmas decorations one last time before he died. You're right we need more people like that in the world. Those Christmas lights were beautiful!
