Pre Summer Skincare Prep: Exfoliation

Hello Everyone!

* Disclaimer: This post contains PR Samples provided by Zest and Tree Hut for review purposes. I would like to thank both companies for sending these products. Product information is courtesy of  the brands websites. All opinions are 100% my own

Today I'm sharing a few exfoliating products that I've been using to maintain healthy and soft skin, especially since Summer is right around the corner. For today's exfoliating products, I'll be focusing on Tree Hut's Skincare Exfoliating Mud Mask Detoxifying Charcoal Mask and Zest's Fruitboost Smoothie Body Scrubs.

Tree Hut Skincare Exfoliating Mud Mask Detoxifying  Charcoal Mask

Purify your skin with the activated charcoal in the Tree Hut Exfoliating Mud Mask. This multifunctional mask has Exotic Black Sand that preps skin by removing dead skin cells while Charcoal, Kaolin, and Bentonite draw out impurities and excess oil to help brighten dull looking skin.

Benefits

-Exfoliates and leaves skin feeling soft

- Draws out impurities

- Fortified with natural ingredients
- Kaolin draws out impurities, excess oil and pollution

- Bentonite helps tighten and cleanses skin

- Aloe hydrates and helps heal skin

- Charcoal attracts impurities for deeper cleansing

-Free from parabens, formaldehyde donors, petroleum, phthalates, sulfates, DEA, and mineral oil

-Made in the USA

My Thoughts

This is my first time using an exfoliating facial mud mask and I'm very impressed by the results. I've been using this at nightime for the past week and my face feels so cleansed. I noticed that I had a small dark blemish near the side my eye, and this facial scrub helped reduced the blemish. I'm thinking the aloe helped with the blemish issues since aloe has healing properties. This mask leaves my skin feeling so soft, and I love how this product is fortified with natural botanicals. I seriously should have tried facial masks a long time ago. I truly understand why facial masks are so popular! I've been a fan of Tree Hut products since last Summer and this is  a new product I'm adding to my skincare favorites list! If you're interested in trying this exfoliating mud mask, check it out at Ulta for $14.99

Zest Fruitboost Smoothie Body Scrubs

Zest Fruitboost Shower Gels and Body Scrubs are free of parabens and phthalates.

My Thoughts

I'm so conflicted on which body scrub I love the best lol. All three scrubs smells absolutely amazing! I like using more tropical scents during the warmer months and all three scrubs are great to use during the Summer! These body scrubs contain avocado oil which is good for your skin. After usage, my skin feels so soft and this is before I even put on lotion or body butter. The scrubs aren't hard on your skin at all. I couldn't think of a better name for these smoothie body scrubs. I love to pair these scrubs with the Zest Fruitboost Body Washes as well. If you're trying to get silky smooth skin this Summer, I highly suggest picking up a jar of one these smoothie body scurbs at your local Walmart for about $5.00 (or less).

These masks sound great, Pilar. I think I'd like the peach mango the best. : ) It's been so long since I did a facial mask.

Have a lovely Sunday, dear.

These all sound nice! The scrubs sound like they smell amazing! I'd love to try out that tree hut mask! My skin responds so well to clay masks that have charcoal and Koalin in them! I'll have to try it out since I need a new mask soon. Does it have a burn/tingly sensation at all?

Thanks! The scrubs smells so good! The mask does have a slight tingly sensation, but it mellows out once the mask starts to harden, to me it's tolerable. I'm glad you asked me that question because I meant to mention that in my review. I Hope that info helps!

So true! I tend to exfoliate more during the warmer months as well!

That's good to know!! Im not a fan of ones that burn but I don't mind some tingling!

Pilar said...

I know what you mean! The tingling is tolerable, but I'm glad there wasn't any burning sensation! I'm very pleased with this being my first time using a charcoal face mask!
