Streaming Lately

 Hello Everyone!

*Disclaimer: Descriptions and photos information are provided by google.com

Today I'm back with another streaming latey post. Last month I shared a few things that I've been watching as well. You can check out that post HERE.

Turning Red: Disney+

Mei Lee is a 13-year-old girl who is torn between being her mother's obedient daughter and the chaos of her youth. As if that were not enough, when she gets too excited, she turns into a big red panda.

My Thoughts

I thought this was cute movie about growing up and coming into oneself (except in Mei Mei case she turns into a red panda lol).

Encanto: Disney+

The Madrigals are an extraordinary family who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia in a charmed place called the Encanto. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift -- every child except Mirabel. However, she soon may be the Madrigals last hope when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is now in danger.

My Thoughts

I know I'm super late, but Encanto is such a good movie. It's a good family film and it's about love for ones family. The music is pretty good too.

The Power of the Dog: Netflix

A domineering rancher responds with mocking cruelty when his brother brings home a new wife and her son, until the unexpected comes to pass.

My Thoughts

I came across this a few weeks ago. I heard about this film when I watched the Oscars, and I decided to check it out. I think a lot can be learned from this movie, especially on how you treat people.

Not So Pretty: HBO Max

An investigation into the trillion-dollar cosmetics, beauty, and personal care industry, raising awareness about the dangers in everyday makeup, hair, skin-care and nail products.

My Thoughts

I just started this documentary on Sunday, but it is an eye opener. I try to be aware of any dangerous ingredients in my beauty products, but it's good to be informed. Keke Palmer's narrates this documentary.

Gaslit: Showtime

A modern take on the 1970s political Watergate scandal centreing on untold stories and forgotten characters of the time.

My Thoughts

I remember learning about Watergate during high school, but honestly I didn't find it all that interesting. I thought I would give the series a chance since I'm older and Julia Roberts is one of my favorite actresses. I actually almost forgot this series premiered last Sunday until I was looking on the guide lol.

What are you watching? Any recommendations?
