Crocheting Project: Mug Warmers (a.k.a. Cozies)

Hello Everyone!

I've really been in the spirit for Fall lately :) Today has been really Fall like, and I was finally able to wear my boots yay!! Even though the weather will likely go back to being warm (based on the weather report)...I'll enjoy the coolness while it's here! The weather can be cool or warm in South Carolina during the cooler months! lol

However, I still enjoy a nice cup of hot chocolate or hot lemon tea :) So I figured why not make cute warmers (cozies) for my beverage mug. I've been seeing these a lot on crochet pattern websites and on YouTube and I just made a few for myself. They were very simple to make! The wonderful thing about crocheting is that I'm always trying to find new and creative things to make!

Here are the cozies I made :)

Plain Mug

The cozies I made placed on the mug.
Side Note: the bows are located on the left side of the mug since I'm right handed.

I love the bows! Did you find a pattern on Ravelry or make your own? Also, what kind of yarn did you use? This looks like a fun and easy project. My scarf is stuck in limbo while I desperately hunt for a second skein.

Pilar said...

Thank you! I actually made the bows myself, without a pattern. I looked at various bows online, and I just figured it out on my own.I used Red Heart Super Saver Yarn for each of the cozies. You should give this project a try! This probably was the easiest project that I've done, and it doesn't take much time to complete.

Oh no about your scarf! That's happend to me too in the past! Now I usually buy extra (depending on the project) to ensure I'll have enough. Have you tried looking online for the second skein? If you have a Michaels Craft Store near you, they may have what your looking for. Good luck and I can't wait to see your finished product!
