Beauty Tips That I Use

Hello Everyone!

I wanted to share a few of my beauty tips that I use and find helpful.

1. Foundation as a concealer

This is one of my favorite tips because my Fashion Fair Foundation Stick works amazingly as a concealer. I get full coverage and I can save a few dollars lol.  If you do this, just make sure you use a good foundation. My mom taught me this tip a long time ago.

2. Ponds Dry Skin Cream to prepare my face for makeup

I never really use a bb cream or face primer specifically for my makeup. I know you may think Ponds Dry Skin Cream may leave your face oily and make applying your makeup difficult, but it doesn't. I use two dabs and my makeup is applied without any issues. This is also a tip I learned from my mom.

3. Citrus Fruits To Even Skin Tone

When I notice my skin is unevenly toned, I use grapefruit juice to help the problem. I squeeze half a grapefruit in a bowl and dab a cotton ball into the juice from the grapefruit. Then I take the cotton ball and dab the uneven area(s). Leave on for about 20 minutes and rinse. You can also use other citrus fruits such as lemons and oranges.

4. Soft Skin

After I take a shower or bath, I use a good lotion that locks in moisture. Two of my favorites are Cetaphil and Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula.
Since this is the season for sandal here are a few tips for soft feet: soak you feet or after you shower or bathe pat your feet dry use a pumice stone or foot file to clear any dead skin off the bottom of your feet, and use a good lotion (once again) I use Cetaphil or Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula, put on a pair of socks for the night, and by morning you should have soft smooth feet.

5. Go Makeup-less

Since it's Summer I rarely wear makeup except for lipstick. It's just to hot where I live and the heat is just terrible lol. I usually give my face time to breathe during the Summer months. Even though I wear makeup, I've mentioned in the past I don't wear it every day.

Those are just a few beauty tips that I use. What beauty tips do you use?

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Great beauty tips! I never thought to use the juice from a fruit on my face as a toner! I'll have to try that. I also always use a moisturizer before I apply my foundation!

These are great tips! I'm not one to go without makeup, but I went without it a lot last week. And, I have to say that I kind of enjoyed it! I may try foundation as concealer. I've heard that Bobbi Brown has a great stick foundation.

Thank you! I was skeptical at first about using citrus fruit juice on my face, but it works! Ponds is my favorite moisturizer to use before I put on foundation.

Thank you!

Thank you! I actually like going makeup free. Like I mentioned on my post, it's just too hot for makeup lol. The key to the foundation working as a concealer is using a really good foundation or foundation stick. I heard Bobbi Brown has good makeup products too.

Thank you! I agree, Fashion Fair does have wonderful products!

I've never used a primer since Ponds works so well as a moisturizer.

Thank you! The Ponds tip was one of the best makeup tips my mom gave me I started wearing makeup when I was a teenager. I just rather not wear makeup right now because the weather is so hot and humid lol.

Great beauty tips. I was taught to use a good concealer and foundation. will have to check out the citrus fruit tip though, I don't believe I ever heard of it.

Thank you! I used to use concealer, but I find my foundation stick works better. I headed about the citrus fruit tip a while ago, but I didn't start using until this year. I find it helpful!

Great tips Pilar! I'm all out of toner so I might give the grapefruit a try. I've been taking it easy on the makeup lately too. It's just so darn hot! Ugh!

Thank you! I was pleasantly surprised how well the grapefruit toner method works! I know what you mean it's just too hot here most days to wear makeup!
