How I've Changed

Hello Everyone!

You know it's still seems surreal that I'm 29 now. It seems like just yesterday I was that 20 year old girl who was in college. Where did the time go? lol Anyway, today I want to reflect on how I've changed in the last 9 years. I guess you can say 29 is my reflection year.

1. I Love Home Decor...Now

I remember in my early 20's I could care less about home decor. As long as my room at home and my dorm room was the way I wanted that's all that mattered to me. I used to get so bored going home decor shopping with my mom. Now I constantly ask her opinion on decorating tips.

2. Budgeting and Saving Money

I've always been pretty good on this. Sure I may spoil myself sometimes, but I'll never put my wants before my needs. That makeup palette may look beautiful, but it's not going to pay my bills. Priorities always come first.

3. In Speaking of Priorities...

Some things I found unimportant at 20 are definitely important to me now. For example, I used to find the National Evening News super boring, but now I watch it a few times a week. It's good to be informed on what's going on in the world.

4. Staying in on Friday and Saturday Nights

Sure I may have gone out some in my early 20's, but I'm totally comfortable with staying in watching a good movie or documentary. I guess I've always been somewhat of an homebody.

5. Becoming more domesticated

I love to cook, bake, craft etc. I swear I'm going to make a good wife someday. To think when I was 20 I could care less about anything domesticated. I can thank my mom for my awesome cooking, baking, and crafting abilities.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

  1. I find as you get older you do change. I know in my life, I try to make thinks simpler. What I use to worry about, I no longer do. Your tastes change. Your style changes. Every 10 years you'll feel a big change.

    1. I agree! I feel a major change from 20 to almost 30! I see things more clearly than I did when I was younger. I think it's true with age you gain more wisdom. I still worry and stress, but not over the things I used to 10 years ago. Those things seem so irrelevant now.

  2. I love this post Pilar! It's so crazy to think about how I've changed over the years too. Even just from a year ago I feel like I've changed a lot! And when I was younger I never thought I'd care about home decor or cooking and cleaning like you said, but that all definitely changed when I moved out!
