Spring 2019 Makeup Haul

It's that wonderful time of year when I do my annual  collective Spring Makeup Haul! There's so many great makeup products out right now, and of course I had to repurchase some of my favorite products. I even received Pixi Products from one of my makeup clients!

I actually purchased this for myself in late January as an early Valentine's Day gift to myself. This palette is eve more beautiful in person. This is my first Huda Beauty Purchase.

I switched back to using high end foundation again. I'm still using my Covergirl and Maybelline foundations, but I was looking for more of a natural looking foundation. I think I found what I was looking for with Clinique. Clinique is considered highend, but this foundation was only $29.00...not too bad.

Hello Everyone!

For my birthday, back in December ,I received the James Charles Palette. I couldn't wait to use this bright eyeshadow palette.  As much as I love neutrals I love bright colors as well. Today I wanted to share vibrant pink and yellow eye makeup look. I know this isn't a traditional Spring Eye makeup look, but I wanted to do something bold, bright, and fun.

I've been on the Morphe Bandwagon for the last couple of months, and the James Charles Palette doesn't dissapoint. As you can tell the shadows are highly pigmented and bright.

I have so many eye makeup looks planned for this palette. I've been into using highlighter frequently. Apparently the natural light clashed with the brightness of the highlighter. That's why my cheeks look so bright.

Every Spring, I try to do a haul on beauty products. I realized that I don't think that I've done a Spring Haul strictly for skincare. Today I bring you my collective Spring into Skincare Haul.

I'm all about glowing healthy skin. Pixi Glow Tonic has been one of my favorite products for the past few months. I finally picked up one of my favorite cleansers from Clinique. I love glowing skin, but sometimes my face gets too oily so I'm hoping this will reduce oil.

When I prepare for my skincare routine, I include nail care.  The Winter was rough on my nails. Qtica kindly sent me a nail strengthener and I can tell a difference in my nails. They're so healthy, and they're growing again! When I went to Target, I was happy all the nail products I needed were in stock.

My skincare routine isn't complete with my shower and bath essentials. I usually switch up skincare products during each season to meet the needs of skin. I won't lie I didn't exfoliate that much during the Winter. I picked up a new scrub and an exfoliating loofah to pamper my skin.

These products were added after I did my collective skincare haul. I had a sample of the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and I had to get a regular bottle. Micellar water is a staple in my skincare routine. Since the weather will get warm soon, I keep a few bottles of my favorite Micellar Waters around. I mentioned this before, but if your a fan of Bath & Body Works Sleep Lavender and Vanilla, Aveeno Baby Wash smells very similar (and you get more product).

I'm super excited about today's post! Today I'm going to be sharing my review for one of Original Beauty Box's new Cosmetic Travel Organizers! I've had my eye on these gorgeous bags since I first heard they were being released!

Our Large Cosmetic Travel Case has capacity for all your favorite makeup while being lightweight at the same time.

It is made from sturdy nylon material and features a hard case to protect your items. Fully customizable, it has removable dividers and a shoulder strap that can be used.   

Features:

- 1 Zippered section

- Inside of top flap has a section for brushes as well
  as a protective flap. It also has a zippered     
  compartment for large flat items such as palettes.

- Bottom section has 5 large removable dividers and
  5 small dividers.

- Sturdy top handle

- Removable shoulder strap

- Small logo on front right corner

- Dimensions: 13.5" L x 9" W x 3" H

- Makeup not included. 

My Thoughts

I absolutely love this makeup case! I've had plenty of makeup cases before, but nothing like this one. I love how the cases come in 3 different sizes. This is how I would breakdown each makeup case:

Medium ($30.00) is good for light/moderate travel and personal makeup
Large ($40.00) is good for extended travel, personal makeup and MUA's
XL ($59.00) is good for extended travel, personal makeup, and MUA's

I have the Large makeup case, and I can fit so many products and makeup brushes inside. You can either hold the case by the handle or use the removable strap and carry the case as a shoulder bag. I'm so glad this case has removable dividers. Makeup products come in various sizes, so it's good that the dividers are customizable. The color of the case is black (with the Original Beauty Box logo on the side) which I really like because black is such a elegant and classy color. Personally I think these cases are reasonably priced. If you love makeup, you likely want a good durable case to hold your products. These cases are worth the money. I'm using this makeup case for my personal makeup, but I plan on getting another case to store makeup that I use on my makeup clients.

Being a huge fan of the Naked Palettes, I was excited to hear this news especially after the discontinuation of the Orginal Naked Palette. My Thoughts

I'm so glad that Urban Decay released a new reloaded palette to replace the Original Naked Palette. I was hoping Urban Decay wouldn't leave their fans feeling incomplete with the Original Naked Palette.  The packaging is gorgeous and sleek.

The four outer shades are bigger. Urban Decay made those shades larger since people use those shades more. The shadows are so pigmented, and the fallout is minimal.

A soft look for Spring. I used Barely Baked (tear duct), Retro (lid), Burn (crease) and End Game (outer v)

My eye makeup still looked fresh about 7 hours later.

Glowing...Barely Baked makes a beautiful highlighter 

I think this palette is good for cool toned neutral lovers. If you're new to eyeshadow this palette I would suggest getting this palette. Some may say a cool toned palette for a beginner?! My answer is yes. If you look at shades in this palette, you see a lot of neutrals that are wearable for everyday eyeshadow. On the flip side, you can use this palette to create sultry looks.

I was a little surprised that there's not a brush in this palette. I love the quality of the brushes that are included in the Naked palettes, so I was a little dissapointed there's not a brush in this palette. Overall I really like the Naked Reloaded Palette. I think it gives a Urban Decay a fresh new replacement for the Original Naked Palette.

This scents makes me feel like I'm at Spa. The almond and oatmeal scent is equally balanced. Almond Oatmeal is truly a unisex scent. It's not overly feminine or masculine.

Lemongrass reminds me of a lemon household cleanser, except it has a sweet scent and a hint of fresh cut grass. This scent smells really nice.

My Thoughts 

This scrubs has a strong orange fragrance with a hence of honey. I don't really smell spices. If you're like me and like orange scents, you may want to give this scrub a try.

My Thoughts

This scrubs smells like it's name Strawberry Cranberry. A perfect blend of both scents.

My Thoughts

I was surprised by Eucamint. I thought this scrub was going to smell overly minty, but it has a light citrus scent.

My Thoughts

White Tea has the scent I thought Eucamint was going to have. White Tea is very minty scented. Which I'm not a huge fan of mint fragrances. It's a little overpowering, but this is a scrub that I will probably use on my feet before I give myself a pedicure.

8. Guava Passion 7oz

My Thoughts 

This scrub also reminds me of all things Summer scented. In my opinion, guava and passion always fruit pair well together.

My Thoughts 

I think the lemon grass and lime gives this scent a masculine scent. It's not a bad scent, but I would've have like to smell more lemon in this scrub.

10. Pomegranate Lime 7oz

My Thoughts

Pomegranate Lime smells amazing! This scrub has more of pomegranate scent, and I love it!

11. Lemon Dream 7oz

My Thoughts 

If you ever smelled Sicilian Lemon by Yankee Candle, this scrub smells similar. I get a sweet and tart scent with this scrub. Lemon Dream indeed!

12. Grapefruit Surprise 7oz

My Thoughts 

This is another scrub that smells both tart and sweet. I really like grapefruit based products to wake my skin up in the morning.

13. Colada Sparkle 7oz

My Thoughts

Do you like Pina Coladas? I think of that song when I opened this scrub. This scrub smells so good, just like a Pina Colada.

14. Vanilla Wild Plum 7oz

Delightful and delectable fusion of sweet vanilla and wild plum- a big hit for life's "sweet" moments

My Thoughts

I thought this scrub was going to be overpowering, but it's not. Vanilla and plum are two scents that can smell strong on their own, but paired together in this scrub it smells sweet, but not too sweet.

Overall

This collection has 14 different scents. I'm glad there's a variety of scents there should be a fragrance that everyone can enjoy. I haven't used the White Tea scrub yet, but I plan on doing a pedicure on my feet soon. Lemongrass is starting to grow on me, but I still would've liked more lemon in this scent. Almond Oatmeal and Exotic Mango are my two favorite scents. I know that everyone doesn't like scented skincare products. I would've have like to see a unscented sugar scrub for those that don't like scented fragrances or have sensitive skin etc.

My skin can be sensitive at times, but this sugar scrub isn't harsh on my skin. However, this is a true sugar scrub, so less is more if you're worried about the scrub being to harsh on your skin. A little bit of this scrub goes a long way. These scrubs are are 7oz. I think this is a pretty good size for these products. When it comes to skincare, I can be very selective. I love that these scrubs dont contain parabens. I recommend giving these sugar scrubs a try!
