I've been meaning to post this since last Saturday (10/12/13), but I didn't get around to doing so until now. Anyways, here is my latest project! Since it's Fall, I went ahead and made the Fall themed Granny Square Afghan. As you can tell I did a large Granny Square pattern rather than the single squares. I love how all the colors really give me a feel of the Fall season. This project took me about two weeks to finish.

Thank you! I think that's one of the best things about crocheting, the results :) However, working on the project in general can be fun and relaxing too! I love looking at other people creations too.
Deleteeverytime I see your creations I want to bring the yarn out! I usually only yarn around christmas time. So pretty, good job!
ReplyDeleteThanks Laurie! You should take out your yarn :) Now that it's Fall, I've really been into my crocheting projects. I have more projects that I'll be working on in the upcoming weeks.
DeleteThis Afghan is beautiful! I love the colors! Your work is great as always!
ReplyDeleteAww thank you! I'm glad I went with these colors, they truly remind me of Fall :)
DeleteThe colors are perfect for fall! Where did you learn how to crochet? I would like to learn someday!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Over the years I always wanted to learn to crochet, but I never stuck with it. My mom first tried to teach me when I was about 9. Well last year I was determined to stick with it and I did. I focused on crocheting instead of giving up or procrastinating. Here I am today, I absolutely love crocheting! So the credit goes to my mom for teaching me :) I hope that I'll be able to start working on those beginner tutorials soon so I can help others learn to crochet!
DeleteMy grandma tried to teach me when I was younger but I never got very far in learning! I'm left handed too so I always got confused haha! Someday I'll try again!
DeleteYeah it really does take patience! I saw a YouTube crocheting video where the lady was left handed too. Before I make my tutorials, I'm going to see if I can find a way for both left and right handed people can follow without getting confused. I'm not sure if it's possible, but I'm going to try! Good you're going to try it again someday! Once you get the hang of crocheting, it's really fun!
Deletelove this afghan. it does remind me of fall....can't wait to see what you do next.
ReplyDeleteThank you!! Be on the lookout because I will be posting another crocheting project very soon!
DeleteOMG Pilar! You are so freaking talented, I love everything that you make! Have you considered opening up an Etsy shop and sell some of your stuff love?!?!?! This Afghan is gorgeous and the colors are eye-popping beautiful!!! Great job my love! I can't wait to see what more you come up with! =D XOXO
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Liz! I have thought about opening up an Etsy shop or displaying my work at a craft booth. I've been looking into both. I have a few more projects I'm working on but after I'm done with those, I would like to make items I could sell. I should be posting my other crocheting project this week!
DeleteP.S. Pilar!!!! You should make a blog button so I can add your blog to mine =D (Just a thought hehe) XOXO
