Today I bring you another inspirational post focusing on the importance of not settling for less. I feel when you settle for less you lose a part of yourself. I think at some point we question why am I doing this? or what am I doing? Here are a few areas that I refuse to settle for less. Side note: I've really been in an inspiring writing kind of mood lately. I guess sometimes you can write the best forms of inspiration from personal experiences and life lessons.
Have you ever heard the phrase "A piece of a man is better than no man" Well HELL no!! I rather be alone than to be with a man who doesn't respect me or value my worth. NEVER settle for a man (or any significant other) who doesn't treat you right and I mean NEVER! No one deserves to stay in a hurtful relationship where their significant other doesn't show respect, support, and most importantly love etc.
I've had to let plenty of friends go. Sometimes people grow apart and have very different paths their going in life. That's ok not everyone is supposed to be in your life except for a season. This is another area I refuse to settle.
You may not be in the career field you want, but that doesn't mean you can't work towards what you want to do with your life career wise.
Those are just a few of my thoughts about not settling for less. What are your thoughts about this topic?
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
I like the way you think Pilar especially about man lol but all of these is so true and very inspiring.ReplyDelete
you are so right about this!! no more settling!!ReplyDelete
I look forward to reading your inspirational posts, they're so interesting! You're right, you should never settle for less than you deserve.!ReplyDelete
I totally agree with everything you said, Pilar! No one should settle for significant others or friends that don't treat them how they should be treated! And it's never fun to be unhappy with your career, either. Careers are a major part of your life and day, so if you are unhappy then you won't be happy in life.ReplyDelete
Thanks Ashley! I agree! I hear so many people talk about how they hate their jobs. You have to work to make a living, but you have some enjoyment out it. I think you're right if you're not that happy at work it can affect you happiness in your life. I think some people could stand a lesson on how you are supposed to treat others!Delete
Really interesting post...thx for sharing! xxReplyDelete
Thanks and you're welcome!Delete
I completely agree, Pilar! It's a tough lesson to learn, but we're better off once we do. I struggle when it comes to having to let go of friends.ReplyDelete
Thanks Lauren! I've struggle to let friends go as well, but once I let them go, I realized that I was better off. Some people are only supposed to be in your life for a season.Delete
