Coral and Blue Eye Makeup

Hello Everyone!

If I had to choose a color that I like for Spring and Summer, that color would be coral. So when I was browsing Colourpop's website, I saw this pretty shade named Animal and I just had to have it! I think coral paired with blue looks very pretty. So here we are with an eye makeup look I recently created.

That glow though lol

Pilar in the Pantry: The Crock Pot Chronicles

Hello Everyone!

It's no secret that I love to cook, one of my favorite cooking items to use is my Crock Pot. What can I say, I would feel totally incomplete without it in the kitchen lol. I think a Crock Pot is a must have when I'm cooking since I use it for various types of foods!

Here are some foods that I have made in my crock pot. Yes, these are some photos I've featured in my old posts (I forgot to take pics of the other foods that I cook in my crock pot, my apologies!)

Crock Pot Macaroni and Cheese (Homemade)

Crock Pot Lasagna (Homemade)

Crock Pot Hillshire Lil Smokies (Homemade BBQ Sauce Recipe)

What are your favorite dishes to cook in the crock pot?

Hello Everyone!

If you follow my blog, you probably know or guessed that Spring is my favorite time of year! One of my favorite things to wear during this time of year includes wearing dresses. Whether it's a maxi dress, a sundress, or a skirt, I'm so happy that the weather is warmer to wear some of my favorite clothing!

I recently came across this website http://m.lightinthebox.com that has the cutest retro rockabilly sundresses. Yes I love retro fashion as well, especially 1950's inspired sundresses. Here are a few dresses on that I really like on the website.

1. Maggie Tang Women's 50s Vintage Cherry Rockabilly Hepburn Pinup Business Swing Dress

2. Maggie Tang Women's Halter 50s Vintage Swing Dress

3. Maggie Tang Women's White Halter 50s Vintage Polka Dots Midi Swing Dress

All of the dress photos are courtesy of  http://m.lightinthebox.com

All the dress on the come in women sizes that range from Small- 3XL depending on the dress. I'm not sure of these dresses are true to size, so if anyone has ordered clothing from this site, please let me know your thoughts in the comments section!

Depression Awareness: Depression and Anxiety

Hello Everyone!

What is Anxiety?

A feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome.

My Personal Experiences

Over the years I've noticed that I only have severe anxiety when I feel overly stressed. I'll admit having depression and anxiety at the same time is not fun, and it leaves me feeling mentally, emotionally, and physically drained. I guess the only way I can describe these feelings would include: worrying about everything (anxiety) and too tired to care about anything (depression). During times that I've had exteme anxiety and depression I've actually passed out on two different occasions. This is something that doesn't happen often, but it's still a need for concern.

Anxiety can leave people feeling afraid. I say that because for those who suffer badly from anxiety it can leave you fearing when or where you'll have your next panic attack. I remember a few years ago I had to go to the doctor for standard blood work, so obviously I couldnt have any food after midnight, I didn't go to bed until really late, and I was already suffering from anxiety and depression issues because of end of the year stress from finals, other activities during my Senior year in college,  and some things that were going on in my personal life. Well long story short, all that apparently played a part of me having a full fledged panic attack while I was getting blood drawn. I started crying, shaking, and I passed out. When I woke up I was very confused on what was going on. Once they stabilized me, It's safe to say that I left the doctors office with bruised arms and a sense of unnecessary shame. Not one of my fondest memories...

During the times that I've felt extremely overwhelmed and overly anxious, I try to take a  step back and just breathe to help myself calm down. I also use a focal point to when I'm experiencing anxiety. When I focus on an object that's around me, I usually calm down and feel better. I guess it's true when you're distracted it can help take your mind off anxiety. I may not have anxiety on a constant basis, but I know what it feels like even though the symptoms vary person to person.

This is more of the true colors of the palette

I created a look using this palette as well. I did a separate post because I was focusing on a particular look. I'll link it near the end of this post.

My Thoughts

I ABSOULETLY adore both of these palettes. Seriously these two palette are good as some of my high end palettes. Dare I say almost as good as my Urban Decay Naked Palettes...I would have to say yes! These palettes remind so much of the Urban Decay Naked Palettes, but for a much friendlier cost. These palettes came from CVS and retails for $9.99 If you're a part of CVS's beauty club you get a $5.00 reward for every $50 spent and I think that you can also use your health and pharmacy benefits rewards as well. So go sign up and use your card to get your savings! Now back to the review.

I really like how these palettes are very pigmented. If you read my blog on the regular, you know my feelings on eyeshadow palettes that lack pigmentation, but these really deliver a lot of color. I also like that I don't have to use white eyeshadow to make the colors pop. I can use my MAC Paint Pots and I'll get the same pop of color as if I would have used a white eyeshadow base. I'm really happy that these palettes both have such good pigmentation because I love the shades in both. In these palettes you have a combination of mattes and shimmery shadows. The shadows are really pretty! The shadows also don't fade during the day. I've worn eyeshadows from both palettes and my eye makeup lasted most of the day which is another plus. Fallout is minor. I really like how I can use these palettes without feeling like I'm wasting product because of fallout issues. These shadows also pick up color well with my makeup brushes and I don't have any trouble blending the shadows. I really don't have any complaints about these palettes. I wrote this review as a whole instead of reviewing each palette individually because besides the colors there really isn't much of a difference between the two. These palettes are just that good! I think this collection has two more palettes, and
I highly recommend adding Milani's Everyday Eyes Eyeshadow Palettes to your collection!

I also found two other palettes from this collection and I haven't used them yet, but if there is a different in quality etc. I'll let you all know!
