It seems like it's been forever since I did a DIY post! Over the past few weeks I've been working on a few new Fall projects that I wanted to share in today's post!
For the past two years during Fall, I used the same flowers, but different arrangements for the front door wreath. This year I wanted to do something totally different. I used maple leaves, glitter pumpkins and glitter leaves. I thought the glitter pumpkin ribbon would look nice for hanging the door wreath.
I'm always Thankful. This is sign is most likely to displayed in the kitchen since a lot of my decor in the kitchen is blue. Those pumpkins were originally speckled orange, but I didn't like the color so I painted them white instead.
When I first bought the orange pumpkin I had no clue of what I wanted to do with it, but I did know I was going to make it into a DIY project. The candle stand is an old DIY project and I just painted it white and used the left over ribbon from the door wreath to make a bow.
Bonus Fall DIY
Here are some glitter leaves that I made into refrigerator magnets. I have more Fall magnets, but I'll show those in another post.
Have a wonderful October!

Happy October dear! Your Fall DIY decor is gorgeous. The wreath is stunning. The first (white) sign table is so pretty. I love the Thankful writing on it- lovely message to keep in mind.
ReplyDeleteThe Harvest stand is beautiful as well. That candle stand from another DIY project is lovely.
I've been planning to do some Fall decor too, but I'm waiting for the weather to get a bit colder so I can really get into the mood. Have a great start of the week!
Thanks Ivana! I love the messages I found for the signs I made! Very good messages to keep in mind indeed! It's still pretty hot here, but hopefully it will cool down soon! I haven't finished Fall decorating, I should hopefully have that done soon! Hope you're having a great week!

DeleteYour projects are great, Pilar. Autumn is my very favorite time of the year. The pumpkins painted white are lovely--how clever you are! Now, hopefully it will cool off for you to enjoy Autumn even more! ♥
ReplyDeleteThanks Martha Ellen! Fall is my favorite time of year also! I had to do something with those speckled orange pumpkins. I really didn't like the color, so I painted them white instead. I know I'll love Fall even more once the weather cools down!
DeleteI love those mini white pumpkins, Pilar. You did a great job painting them. Your house looks so decorated for the season. I like how you got a little blue in there also. I bet those candles smell wonderful throughout your home.

Thanks Sheri! I have blue items in the kitchen so I thought the sign would go great in there. I love scents of the Fall candles that I've burned so far!
DeleteOh my goodness, you are so creative, Pilar! I love your festive Fall decor!
ReplyDeleteI especially love the one that says "thankful." That's such a wonderful reminder to be grateful and count our blessings!
Happy Fall Harvest Season to You! Blessings, Net
Thanks Net! I appreciate your kind words! Happy Fall and blessings to you as well!
DeleteGreat fall decor...I am ready to put out my fall and Halloween stuff. Late on the fall stuff and actually two days late on Halloween...this is what happens when you are away from home for a period of time. Was going to cut the yard for the last time this morn but it rained last night so that will wait for this evening. Wanted to do,the Halloween decor outside after mowing but that too will have to wait...crap!!!!! So...guessing that means I clean inside. A much needed chore since arriving home late Sunday night and still have not unpacked all my bags of craft stuff and I am walking around all that....wish me luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam! It sounds like you're going to be pretty busy! Good luck with everything! I hope that you show your Fall/Halloween decor!
DeletePilar, You little crafter you....I love those magnets so much. You could gift your relatives with one. Bet your mom would like some. :):)It's a craft one can do with kids too. Sure miss crafting with my granddaughter. I like the wreath with the maple leaves so much. I like that you painted the pumpkins white too...they go with your sweet pumpkin sign. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteThanks Susie! These would make great gifts! I already started working on a few Christmas DIY's I would like to add to gifts! My mom is usually the first person who gets a DIY gift. She loves so many of my creations :) This craft is pretty kid friendly except for usage of the hot glue gun. Safety first for little ones! Blessings to you as well!
DeleteYour fall decor is so pretty Pilar! I love the glitter leaf magnets. This is such a nice way to get into the spirit of the season!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rowena! I agree! Making these crafts did get me into the Fall decorating spirit! Now I just need to finish decorating!
DeleteWow, your decor is amazing!! So pretty!! I especially love the leaf magnets, what a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks Liana!
DeleteGreat job, Pilar! Happy October doll!

Thanks Paola, and same to you!
DeleteI started decorating for fall last year. I think my husband threw away last year's wreath by accident. I love your fall decors, especially the leaf magnets on the fridge.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nerline! Decorating can be so much fun! That's too bad about your wreath!
