Winged Eyeliner and Vampy Lipstick

Hello Everyone!

Before I start today's post I want to everyone for their kind words on my last post! Dealing with allergies and sinus problems my whole life hasn't been isn't easy, but I'm remaining optimistic for relief. As I mention in the last post, I will keep you all posted!

Since I was sick a good bit of December with a cold and sinus infections, I didn't wear too much makeup, but now that I'm feeling better, I've slowly started applying more of my makeup. For this look I did a simple winged liner and vampy lip.

Oh how I missed wearing dark lipstick

Covergirl TruMatte Foundation is my holy grail of drugstore makeup. I'm also wearing a matte liquid eyeliner by Milani

Wishing everyone a wonderful week!

  5. Ah yes winged eyeliner is so fun.! And ugh I hear you about allergies. Mine are off the charts due to hormones and chronic intestinal problems which surprisingly makes them worse and finally from never damage from a root canal. Ugh not fun. Glad you are feeling better.

  7. This is a lovely make up look. The winged eye looks great on you and that lipstick is simply perfect. You look very pretty....and how cute are your curls! Have a great week ahead.

Allergies are never easy to deal with, I have some myself and I never really found something that helps. For sinus problems I found that steam inhalation can help. I place a towel over my head and hold it over a pot of cooked tea. Another thing that helps me is salted water, I inhale it through the nose... but this one might not help everyone and I'm not sure how safe it actually is. I only do it when I have some super clean sea water at hand. The first thing is a pretty standard home remedy, so you might try it if you already haven't.

    1. Thanks Ivana! I hope you're having a great week!

I haven't tried the salted water remedy for sinuses because as you mentioned I'm not sure how safe it is. I remember a few years ago, there was a growing concern of possible dangers using a neti pot. Please be careful!

  8. Your lipstick color matches your scarf, how pretty. I've never seen you smile that big before. You have a nice smile, Pilar. I like the winged look on your eyes too. And your curly hair is pretty. I also have curly hair, but mine is a bit more frizzy haha.
