Happy Halloween: Here Comes the Bride

 Hello Everyone!

Here comes the bride! As you can tell from the title, this year I dressed up as a bride. No I'm not getting married before anyone asks lol.

I always envisioned if I ever get married I would probably wear curls and pearls.

I typically do diys for Halloween and this year was no exception. I used what I had to make my veil.

Since I partned with Adore numerous times, I've gained quite a lingerie collection.

Happy Halloween 🎃

Handmade Pink Crocheted Leg Warmers

 Hello Everyone!

Last week the temperature dipped down into the 30's at night and I couldn't think of a better time to get some crocheting done. I've been wanting to make myself leg warmers for the longest time, but I never got around to doing so until last week.

Handmade Pink Crochet Leg Warmers

These crochet leg warmers are so thick and cozy.

I love wearing these leg warmers around the house.

My goals is to make a few more of these leg warmers. These even make great gifts.

These crochet leg warmers are perfect to wear with boots during those extremely cold weather. I say extremely cold weather because these leg warmers are pretty thick and the faux fur in my boots feel warm.

Happy Crocheting!

McDonald's Boo Buckets: McPunk'n

 Hello Everyone!

Today I'm being a little nostalgic on the blog. As a Millennial, I was pretty excited to hear McDonald's was bringing back their Boo Buckets. Oh being a child growing up in the 90's...what a time to be alive!

Now where did these buckets end up? You're guess is good as mine lol. I remember specifically one Halloween my mom took me to McDonald's and got me a happy meal. I got McPunkin. I can't remember if I went Trick or Treating that year, but all was good in my world with that Boo Bucket and cheeseburger Happy Meal! Fun fact, my dad used to call me Punkin.

When I was little I had all 3 three Boo Buckets at some time or another. I used to look forward to October so much as a child!

I remember the Boo Buckets used to have a full plastic lid, I don't recall this paper activity.

Thank you McDonald's for bringing back one of my favorite childhood memories. Do you remember the Boo Buckets? Did you get one as a child?

Thankful Thoughts for Turning 37 in December

 Hello Everyone!

I know this post is probably throwing people off lol or you're wondering why I'm talking about Thanksgiving and my birthday/Christmas when these events are in November and December... well let me explain I may take some time off the blog next month, but I'm not sure yet so here we are with my reflection post just incase.

This year has been been filled with ups and downs for me. I've dealt with a few challenges in which made my faith stronger. You all know that I'm not one to push my religious beliefs on anyone, but for me prayer gets me through a lot of obstacles. I've learned over the years to trust God and the process even if I don't understand. I've had to step out on faith when I was unsure of the outcome. Most importantly I pray and thank God when things are going well. I think sometimes we pray when we're scared, unsure, or lost, but don't forget to pray and thank God during the good moments.

Through my good and bad moments I'm always thankful especially for life's basic necessities such as shelter, food, utilities etc. These things are so important especially when there are so many people that are need of these things. Something that has been troubling me is that some people seem so relaxed about covid like it's not still going on around. I've actually had people tell me who hasn't had Covid. Well I haven't had Covid and I pray to keep it that way. I've still wear my mask when I'm out and I socially distance. I'm vaxed and boosted. I'm doing what I feel is best for myself and those close around me.

I'm so thankful my mom and my Godmother. They have been best friends for over 40 years. They meet when they were teenagers. My mom has always shown me unconditional love. She been my biggest supporter and for that I'm always thankful. My Godmother is also a postive influence in my life as well. I can only hope to have a friendship like theirs one day.

My upcoming 37th birthday on Christmas has me thinking how I'm almost close to 40! Wow right? I try not to think about age, but instead of the things I have accomplished and the things I look forward to accomplishing. I learned a long time ago it's okay to not have everything figured out especially things beyond my control.

I didn't know how long today's post was going to be as I spoke from the heart. As we near the holidays, please remember to be kind to others, but most importantly be kind and gentle to your self ❤

Naked x Robin Eisenberg Eyeshadow Palette

 Hello Everyone!

Urban Decay has released yet another Naked Palette. This time the UD collaborated with Artist Robin Eisenberg for this latest release.

Naked X Robin Eisenberg Eyeshadow Palette

12 matte + glitter eyeshadows inspired by cosmic artist Robin Eisenberg.

What happens when you combine richly pigmented Martian mattes with out-of-this-world meteor shower shimmers – an extraterrestrial palette perfect for cosmic-makeup looks. Urban Decay partnered with LA-based artist, Robin Eisenberg, to create 12 boldly pigmented matte and shimmer eyeshadows in warm & cool-tones. With colors inspired by Robin Eisenberg’s iconic artwork, this palette brings alien makeup to life from a world beyond the galaxy.

Whether you’re looking for bold eye glitter shades for your upcoming holiday makeup or warm neutrals for everyday wear, this palette range is suited for toned-down or turned-up looks. Each shade is made with Urban Decay’s famous signature Naked formula, delivering velvety texture, richly pigmented color, and extreme blend-ability.

Surreal staying power up to 12 hoursInfinitely velvety + beyond blendable formula12 highly pigmented matte, shimmer, and glitter eyeshadowsShades inspired by California-local artist, Robin EisenbergPalette is straight off a space pod with planetary + cosmic vibesVegan + vibrant. Cool, not cruel.

Naked × Robin Eisenberg Swatches

Moonsand- Ivory satin eyeshadow

Solar Storm- Soft taupe brown matte eyeshadow

Pulsar- Nude to pink eyeshadow

Ion- Bronze glitter eyeshadow

Mango Sun- Coral matte eyeshadow

Exoplanet- Cranberry-red glitter eyeshadow

Foxfire- Brick red matte eyeshadow

Holidaze- Muted burgundy-red glitter eyeshadow

Home Planet- Bright periwinkle matte eyeshadow

Ice Crater- Deep blue to purple eyeshadow

Alien Babe- Navy blue glitter eyeshadow

Space Pod- Dark teal-green glitter eyeshadow

My Thoughts

The shades are absolutely gorgeous. Finally a palette with a shade range worth buying (try to catch a sale if you can). However it's time for UD to drop the Naked concept of their palettes. In my opinion it's misleading because when UD first started with their Naked Palettes the colors were neutral and could be worn everyday. I know that this is a limited release, but how is this palette neutral? This palette would've made a great reintroduction to their Vice Palettes.

I'm unfamiliar with the artist, Robin Eisenberg, but I think her illustrations on packaging for this palette is eye catching. This palette is great for holiday looks, or special occasion looks. That's about it. So if you're looking for an everyday palette, this is not it. Fall out is minimal, the shades are pigmented, and easy to apply. I like that this palette looks good on every skintone.

Will you be getting the new UD Naked × Robin Eisenberg Eyeshadow Palette?

Today I want to share my review for Entity Clean and a new Halloween Manicure. Entity Clean is a new nail polish to me, but I love polishes that are clean are breathable especially since I have chronic sinus problems.

OUR MESSAGE

We worry about the long term effects of the products we use and desire cleaner, simpler alternatives. That's why we created Entity Clean, the best high-performance formula at an affordable price for women who care about looking good but don't want to sacrifice peace of mind or well being.

Work of Heart- This  bold crème hue was crafted for the perfect classic red manicure!

Sunshine Girl- This summer sun has nothing on this beautiful bright orange crème!

Cotton Cutie- A bright white crème perfect for a clean and crisp nail look.

Entity Clean Base Coat- provides ultimate adhesion and flexibility for a long-wearing, non-chipping manicure. Our unique Biotin enriched 24-Free formula is breathable, allowing air to pass to the nail plate, preventing heat and moisture build up that can cause thinner, yellowing nails and microbial growth.

Our unique Biotin enriched 24-Free formula is designed to maintain its ultra-high gloss shine without yellowing like other top coats. The lightning fast dry time gives you a finished, radiant manicure in just minutes!

Black SilkDeeper than the midnight sky, this black crème is the perfect shade onyx for any occasion.

The colors included in this PR Sample are perfect for creating a Halloween Inspired Manicure. I created this manicure a few days ago and I haven't noticed any chipping.

I've been having horrible sinus problems again, and this polish didn't irritate my sinus. The polishes dries pretty fast and I like that the polishes are affordable $6.99. These polishes are  available: @ JC Penney Online, Select JC Penney Locations, Amazon, and Select Walmart Locations.

Dating After Domestic Violence

 Hello Everyone,

My original drawing from 2019. If you choose to share my drawing please credit me for my artwork. Thanks!

I thought I would share my thoughts about dating after experiencing domestic violence.

If you want to catch up on my experience about Domestic Violence, see links at the end of this post to my previous posts over the years.

I've been single since 2017, but it's not because I'm afraid to have a relationship. I just haven't dated any guys that I want to be in a relationship with.

Maybe that sounds harsh, but it's honest. I think there some truth to the statement "You'll be alone for a while when you know your worth." I don't think the statement is fully true, but I notice that since I'm not going to put up with a man treating me any kind of way I have been single for quite some time. I'm not looking for perfection because no one is perfect, but I won't be mistreated. Please remember that emotional abuse is a form of domestic violence. I can't stress that enough.

I don't base my love life on the toxic experiences I've had in the past, but I do use those experiences on what to avoid. I do believe in love, but love is also respect.
