I'm so excited to share today's post! What better way to start off December than to share photos of my decorated tree. On the countdown :) 24 days unil Christmas/My Birthday! To all the December babies, happy birthday!
The first pic of tree once I finished. This tree is 7.5 ft tall. The original plan was to start last weekend. I started decorating Wednesday night and I finished on Thursday afternoon.
This year more blue was added to the tree. I think blue and silver looks so pretty at Christmas time.
I wanted a white faux fur tree skirt, but I think this silver sequenced tree skirt looks better with the theme.
I mentioned that last year I just put two bells for the tree topper. This year I went for a bow and bells. I love how it turned out, but I had to really put in some time to get the topper how I wanted it look. The DIY tree topper was worth it :)
My mom loves Christmas decorating as much as I do so we usually decorate the tree together. This year she took on more of a supervisory role lol. One of my favorite Christmas memories as a child was helping my mom decorate the Christmas tree and drink hot chocolate.
Who else likes to look at lights on Christmas trees?
I really love how the tree turned out this year.
Happy Holidays! Are you putting up a Christmas tree this year? I also wanted to thank you all for the kind words you left on my Projects with Pilar: Christmas Decor DIY's post!

DeleteOh mine went up Sat. after Thanksgiving. Used to shoot for Thanksgiving day or the day after, missed that this yr. Loving the blue and silver. So pretty. I thought about going purple and red on mine this yr but....decided that I can't go without my ornaments I have made or collected over the yrs. The memories attached to them is what is really special.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam! I've changed up color themes a few times over the years. It can be hard to forego ornaments that have mean sentimental value or ornanments you like in general.
DeleteYour tree looks so festive and sparkly. Sounds like you had fun decorating it! Love the blue and silver color palette you went with. Happy weekend Pilar!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rowena! I did have funs decorating the Christmas tree! Have a great week!
DeletePilar, your tree is beautifu! You did an amazing job with that bow and bell topper!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marie!
DeletePilar, I am thrilled to see your beautiful tree. I just replied to your comment at my site and asked to see it. :):) You made me laugh about your mom being supervisor. I do that too. I love you color combo. That topper is beautiful, you did a fabulous job on it. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteThanks Susie! I really love blue and silver for Christmas colors! I guess my mama wanted to see if I had her decorating skills lol. She loves how the tree looks! I took my time with making the topper, but I'm happy with the final result! Blessings to you as well!
DeleteLooks beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend <3
Thanks T!
DeleteBeautiful tree!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteOh, your tree is beautiful, Pilar! Lovin' all the blue and silver. You got me in the mood to decorate my own tree, which we're getting today. And I see the bow and bells that you made on the top of the tree. Just lovely. What's even more special is that you decorated it with your mom. It is our tradition to drink hot chocolate too while decorating the tree.....and listen to Burl Ives. ; )

Thanks Sheri! I know you must be excited to get your tree! I would love to have a real Christmas tree, but I have allergies and sinus problems too badly! It is special to decorate the tree with my mom! She may have supervised this year lol, but it was still fun! I had to put some thought into the topper. I had a vision for how I wanted it to look and I'm so glad it looks like my vision! I know this Christmas will be special for you and your family with the addition of baby Francesca:)
