Inspirational Post: Body Positivity

Hello Everyone!

Curvy girl :)

For today's post I wanted to do something a little different a body positive post. One of my friends asked me why don't post any body pictures like you post on Facebook on your other social media handles? There's a reason for that. When I first started Instagram I wanted people to take interest in my love for makeup and other things that I enjoy rather than solely on my looks or my body. Hence the reason why I didn't start posting body photos until recently.

The infamous mirror selfie

Which brings me to the topic of body positivity. We live in a society where there can be pressure to look a certain way. I think this can affect anyone, but I know this is especially true for women. Women are constantly comparing themselves to other women or celebrities and may feel insecure of their own looks and body type. I think the way you feel about yourself is far more important than what anyone else thinks about you.

Is Christmas/My Birthday here yet?! Lol :)

Sure there are things I don't like about myself. People aren't perfect, but any insecurities I have I don't let it endanger my health or well being. I love my curves, and no matter what your body type may be, it's so important that you love yourself and have a positive outlook about yourself.

Happy Holidays! Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Thank you so much for sharing! Your post is very inspiring! I do get that a lot that I don't post enough body pictures. I realize that its because of my fixation on my facial beauty that I disregard my body's beauty. You've definitely inspired me to look at my body more positively and to share this beauty and to show that its okay to do so.

Love this post Pilar! Everyone has insecurities, it if we let them stop us from doing things that we love, then we'll never get anywhere in life!

I don't usually post body pictures as well, with the exception of my post-pregnancy series, just because like you I don't feel like it is the main focus of my blog. But insecurities shouldn't stop us from what we enjoy doing.

I agree! I think everyone has insecurities at some point, but we all have imperfections. That's what makes people unique!
