My Thoughts

This palette is gorgeous! I love how I can create a variety of looks with the shades! To mix things up I created another look rather than the look that was instructed on the back of the box. This is a new palette from Maybelline and I'm quite impressed especially with how the colors last most of the day! I used NYX Eyeshadow Base in Flesh Tone to test the pigmentation, and lasting ability.  It works great, and the color stays very well! I love how this palette doesn't have much fallout and all shades feel so buttery! The lip color in this palette is very pigmented and it also lasts most of the day! I used the eyeliner pencil to create a winged eyeliner to go with this look which glided across my lid with ease. The blush isn't all that pigmented, but you can build color which is good. The highlighter that is provided in this palette is very pigmented.  I really don't have any cons about this palette and I forgot to mention that this palette is travel friendly and it fits perfectly in most of  my makeup bags. Thanks again Ashley for sending me such a beautiful palette for my birthday!

Drugstore Beauty Haul

Hello Everyone!

Today I bring you a drugstore beauty haul! I feel like haven't done one of these hauls in so long! I wanted to try a few drugstore makeup products and I think I think I got these items for pretty good prices during a few sales.

1. Maybelline Fit Me Collection:

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation (Dewy + Smooth): Soft Honey 315
- Maybelline Fit Me Pressed Powder: Soft Honey 315
- Maybelline Fit Me Concealer: Medium

Since the Maybelline Fit Me Collection appears to be popular among makeup lovers I decided to give this collection a try since I've been looking for a drugstore foundation. I decided to get the pressed powder and concealer as well.

2. Maybelline Great Lash Lots of Lashes Mascara: 140 Blackest Black

I needed to get a mascara, and I wanted to try this one since I like Maybelline's mascaras.

3. Milani Lipsticks

- Matte Orchid (64)
- Pink Frost (09)
- Black Cherry (24)
- Violet Volt (34)

These are my first Milani lipsticks! These colors are so pretty!

4. Pond's Original Fresh Wet Cleansing Towelettes

I like to get the travel size packs of these towelettes instead of the larger pack.

5. L.A. Colors Color Craze Nail Polish

I haven't purchased a L.A. Colors nail polish in ages! I really like these two colors and they were only a $1.00 each

I didn't write too many details about the products since I plan on writing full reviews for some of the items displayed. Stay tuned for those upcoming reviews!

Have you purchased any drugstore beauty products lately?

I shared some of my makeup related collections last week. Here are the links to those posts if you missed it

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Eventone Suncare Products First Impressions

Hello Everyone!

* Disclaimer: This post is sponsored by Palmer's. I want to thank Palmer's for sending these products for review. All opinions are 100% my own.

I was recently contacted by Palmers to review a few products from their Cocoa Butter Eventone Suncare line. Here is some information about these products.

Introducing Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Eventone Suncare Range

Because Suncare Should Cover Every Skin Tone

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula, the manufacturers of America’s favorite Cocoa Butter products, introduces a range of suncare products that effectively protect skin, keeping it free from discoloration and spots associated with UV exposure. These products offer superior moisturization with no white residue, making them perfect for all skin tones.

As the Cocoa Butter experts, it was only natural that Palmer’s harness all of the incredible skin care benefits of this super ingredient into our new suncare range. Palmer’s uses prime-pressed, unrefined Cocoa Butter, which contains a high fat content that mimics the natural protective layer of the skin.  It even has the same melting point as body temperature, making it an important skin moisturizer and protectant. Cocoa Butter is also rich in antioxidants; most notably Cocoa Mass Polyphenols, which help combat free radical damage-the main culprit of premature aging.  Along with Cocoa Butter, these products contain the natural moisturizers Shea Butter and Coconut Oil to give skin a natural glow. All the products have excellent absorption characteristics, eliminating the white, pasty residue left by traditional sunscreens.

One of the key differences about Palmer’s Eventone Suncare products is that they are all formulated with Cocoaplex Technology, a proprietary formulation technique that optimizes the skin-friendly properties of Palmer’s Cocoa Butter while enhancing the sunscreen emulsification. The end result is product formulas that:
  • Maintain even skin tone: Combating dark spots, age spots or discoloration that can perceivably make you look older
  • Provide superior moisture: Creating a natural, breathable barrier to prevent skin dehydration
  • Leave no white residue: A discouraging attribute of traditional sunscreens on dark skin tones
  • Protect against premature aging: Providing antioxidant protection against age-accelerating free radicals

Palmer's Eventone Moisturizing Sunscreen Lotion

Quick Facts about the Products:
  • Formulated for all skin types and tones
  • Prevent dark spots, uneven skin tone and premature aging
  • Leave no white, pasty or stick residue
  • Recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation as effective Broad Spectrum Sunscreens
  • Contain CocoaPlex™ Technology
  • UVA/UVB Broad Spectrum
  • Paraben, Phthalate, PABA free
  • 80-Minute Water Resistant

My Thoughts

I can't wait to try these products! Skincare is very important to me especially with protecting my skin harmful rays from the sun. I also like how these products are Paraben free! From the description I think these are going to be good products to use in maintaining healthy skin, and I like how Palmer's cater to all skin tones. As with most of my first impressions posts, I will be reviewing all these items in upcoming posts! So stay tuned!

Bath and Body Works SAS

Hello Everyone!

It's that time of year again, the Semi Annual Sale at Bath and Body Works (Well actually the SAS ended Monday lol)! Honestly I wasn't too impressed with this SAS. The deals were ok, but I thought the sale could have better.

1. Dashing Through The Snow 3 Wick Candle

- Bath and Body Works Description:

Breathe in the crisp cool air of a holiday sleigh ride with a blend of green balsam, wintry musk and the jingle of sparkling citrus

- My Thoughts:

Do you remember in one of my candle posts I mentioned that I've been searching for a candle from BABW that smelled of winter musk and everything that reminds me of Winter? Well I finally found it! Dashing Through The Snow is my favorite candle right now! It smells so good and it smells just like I remember a few years ago! There's a light musk scent with hints of citrus. I also smell pine, but it's not an overwhelming scent. This candle is just wonderful! I was a little sad that there weren't many of these candles left! I really hope BABW brings this back during the holiday season!

2. Gentle Foaming Hand Soap Kitchen Lemon

- Bath and Body Works Description:
  • A fresh blend of zesty lemon, sparkling citrus and Italian bergamot
  • Mango Fruit extract, leaves hands lightly scented, gently cleansed, and conditioned while effectively fighting germs

3. Deep Cleansing Hand Soap Kitchen Lemon

- Bath and Body Works Description:

Like a 60-second manicure, our Deep Cleansing Hand Soap is specially formulated with skin-renewing microspheres to effectively cleanse and exfoliate, while conditioning Aloe and protective Vitamin E leave hands feeling soft, smooth.
  • A fresh blend of zesty lemon, sparkling citrus and Italian bergamot

- My Thoughts on Both Kitchen Lemon Hand Soaps:

This had soap smells really nice and I couldn't think of a better name for it! This is truly a hand soap that I'll be using in the kitchen lol. What is about lemon scents that seem to be so popular in a person's home? I haven't used this hand soap yet. I'm waiting to use these hands soaps during the Spring and Summer.

4. Deep Cleansing Hand Soap Watermelon Lemonade

- Bath and Body Works Description:
  • Watermelon and freshly squeezed Meyer lemon evoke a perfect refreshment served on the veranda

- My Thoughts:

This hand soaps smells just like the name, Watermelon Lemonade! I really like this scent and I've been getting the deep cleaning hand soaps because after usage my hands feel so soft. I like the foam soaps too, but I think I like the deep cleaning hand soaps better. This is another hand soap I plan on using during the warmer months. I think this hand soap will be perfect to use during the Summer!

5. Deep Cleansing Hand Soap, Peach Bellini

- Bath and Body Works Description:
  • A delicious twist of juicy peach, white apricot and fresh mango

- My Thoughts:

I used this hand soap last  year except I had the foam soap, but this time I purchased the deep cleaning soap. This soap smells just like a sugary peach with hints of mango. This hand soap smells really nice!

6. Bath Sponge

- My Thoughts:

I never call this a bath sponge. I call these loofah's! I really like BABW loofah's because they're very durable and work well on removing any dead skin cells. This loofah also lathers well.

Did you shop during SAS? What did you get?

My Updated MAC Lipstick Collection

Hello Everyone!

Today I wanted to do an updated  collection of my MAC Lipsticks. I wrote a post like this last January, but you may remember back in September I wrote a post explaining that most the pictures on my blog were deleted bc of a mishap with my Picasa album. Well here's a brand new post! I guess it was time for an update since I added a few more lipsticks to my collection since last year. I was going to swatch on my arm, but I thought that showing each color on  index cards would show each shade in it's true color.

Incase you're new to MAC Lipsticks, I abbreviated each finish of the lipstick and my definition on how each lipstick finish feels on my lips.

* (AC)- Amplified/Amplified Crème

Honestly, I don't see the difference between these two types of lipsticks. Both lipsticks are very creamy and pigmented. These usually wear about 4 to 5 hours.

* (S)- Satin

This finish applies on my lips smoothly and has a nice sheen to them even though I've noticed that a few seem a little drying. These lipsticks wear about 5 hours.

* (CS) - Cremesheen

This is another finish I really like! These lipsticks have a creamy texture and usually last about 5 hours before I have to reapply. These lipsticks also have a gloss like shine.

* (M) Matte

I don't find any of my matte lipsticks drying at all which surprised me! Application is fairly simple, this finish glides across  my lips without any issues. Since it's a matte finish, these lipsticks wear for most of the day. I really like this finish.

* (RM)- Retro Matte

Unlike the matte lipsticks, I find Retro Matte VERY drying! I have to prepare my lips with MAC's Prep+Prime before application and everything is fine. I definitely recommend using MAC's Prep+Prime or some sort of lip balm before apply these Retro Matte lipsticks. These lipsticks also last most of the day

* (F)- Frost

These lipsticks are shimmery and shiny without being too over the top, very wearable. I've worn these lipsticks about 3 hours before I have to reapply.

* (LE)- Limited Edition lipsticks
