My Life in September 2018

Hello Everyone!

It's time for another monthly lifestyle post! This month was a pretty good month. Sure I've been sick from a sinus infection and general sinus and allergy issues, but I always count my blessings. Remember to keep those who were affected by Hurricane Florence in your thoughts and prayers (if you always I don't push my religious beliefs off on anyone).

Preparations for Hurricane Florence

The car packed up and ready to go. I went with my mom to her job since the lights were prone to go out in my area and possible flooding. Thankfully Hurricane Florence wasn't too bad in my area.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Wishing everyone a wonderful October!

Target Bullseye Playground Haul: Fall Edition

Hello Everyone!

Who else loves Target's Bullseye Playground? Well I know that I do! A few weeks ago...and recently lol, I went Target hopping to 3 different locations to check out the Dollar Spot. When I went to the 3rd Target, I got there just in time that morning because the sales associate was stocking the Dollar Spot! I was excited since this never happens to me. I got first dibs on the products! A week later I went to the Target that I normally visit, and they were stocking the Dollar Spot as well! As you may tell I visited the different locations a few times over the past month!

Target #1

Not my favorite Target, let's see what they have inside

This Target just had a lot of Halloween items.

More Halloween Items

Target #2

Bright and Sunny Day to go to Target lol. This Target is okay. This Target just restocks the same things over and over.

Halloween Items

So many cute Fall items!

Target Cafe

Target #3

Last, but not least my favorite Target!

I didn't want to take pictures of the Dollar Spot during this trip since the Target sales associate was stocking and I wanted to respect her privacy.

Another day when I went to Target

Fall 2018

Halloween items

Haul Time!

Some of the items in my haul

Part 1: so many goodies for Fall! Signs, Halloween Decor, pumpkins, ceramic dishes, tray, fruit holder, and cookbook stand

Part 2: signs and decor
I plan on painting those orange speckled pumpkins white.

Part 3: more signs and a new ceramic mug

Since I was sick with that sinus infection and now regular sinus problems, and preparing for Hurricane Florence the other week, I haven't had much time to decorate for Fall. Once I'm fully better I know I'll have more energy and be focused to decorate for my favorite season. Once I finish I'll likely do some kind of Fall home decorations post!

What did you get from the bullseye playground at Target?

Urban Decay Elements Palette

Hello Everyone !

* Disclaimer: This post contains a PR Sample provided by Urban Decay Cosmetics for review purposes. I would like to thank  Urban Decay Cosmetics for sending these products. All opinions are 100% my own. Product information is courtesy of Urban Decay.

I'm super excited about today's post! Last week I received a package and to my wonderful surprise, it was Urban Decay's New Elements Palette! As you can see the packaging is gorgeous!! I received this palette on the day it was released, September 10th!

Product Description

The unbelievably gorgeous Elements Eyeshadow Palette spans space and time with 19 mystical, never-before-seen shades in a celestial, ultra-sleek compact.

Inspired by the elements—Air, Earth, Fire and Water—a constellation of unique colors orbit around Luna, an ultra-iridescent transformer shade. The 19 new multidimensional pigments include bright mattes, holographic shimmers and molten metallics. We predict you’ll love Fortune Teller, a metallic magenta with green 3-D sparkle and shift. And Hex Remedy is an iridescent purple that really raises our vibrations.

With gilded details and a crystal-like case, this orb-inspired compact is your key to the next dimension. Slip it into your purse or gift it to a fellow mystic…Elements is the perfect palette to summon your inner goddess

Since you deserve serious staying power and shadow that doesn’t flake or fade out on you, every shade in the Elements Eyeshadow Palette is made from our mind-blowing formula that gives each shade its velvety texture, blendability and rich color that lasts.

Shades included:

SILVER BURN (smoky purple with pink iridescent sparkle)

ELECTRIC AIR (pinkish silver with iridescent micro-glitter

TECTONIC (chocolate brown with iridescent micro-sparkle)

VOLCANIC (bronze metallic)

EARTH BOUND (forest green satin with tonal micro-shimmer)

HEX REMEDY (bright purple with iridescent sparkle)

FOOL’S GOLD (metallic gold with tonal sparkle)

ANTIDOTE (soft warm nude)

DREAM WEAVER (bright pink matte)

EGO (soft pinkish-purple with blue micro-shimmer)

FORTUNE TELLER (metallic pink-red with green 3-D sparkle and shift)

MOON ROCK (metallic copper with iridescent sparkle)

SECRET KEEPER (bright green satin with gold shift)

LUNA (white shimmer with iridescent micro-sparkle)

LIONESS (smoky burgundy satin with bronze sparkle)

ELEMENTAL (sienna matte)

SAPPHIRE DREAM (bright navy blue metallic)

HEAVY WATER (bright metallic teal)

FIRE STARTER (deep red with gold micro-shimmer)

Urban Decay is 100% cruelty-free.
Urban Decay is beauty with an edge.

*I prepared my lids by using Maybelline Instant Pore Eraser. I used Elemental for my transition shade. For part of my lid (near the tear duct) I used Heavy Water. On the other part of lid near the outer v, I used Sapphire Dream.

For the outer v, I used Hex Ready. Hex Ready mixed with Sapphire Dream in the outer V gives a nice smokey look. I also blended Hex Ready on top of my lid. For the lower lash I smugded Heavy Water.

To finish this eye makeup look. I went back into my tear duct and used Luna.

My Thoughts

I love this palette! Urban Decay is known well for their neutral toned palettes...which I also love, but I have a great appreciation for colorful sparkly palettes as well. This palette dropped at a perfect time of year since the holidays are coming up. I see myself creating fun and festive looks with this palette. This palette also has beautiful shades to create a date night eye makeup look. It's not only a great palette for the holidays and date night. In my opinion this is a great palette to use during the week. This palette may have colorful shimmer shades, but it also has neutral colors that are good to create an everyday makeup look.

I've been an avid fan of Urban Decay's eyeshadows for years for their quality, and the Elements Palette is no different. The shadows in this palette are intense and I rarely use that word to describe eye shadow. This has to be one of the most pigmented palette I own, and the wear time is pretty impressive as well. I created this makeup look around 10 am and by 8pm my eyeshadow still looked fresh. There's no creasing, the colors blend very well, and there's minimal fallout from the shadows.

Since Fall starts tomorrow, I went for a darker eye makeup look. As I mentioned in my makeup details,  I mixed Sapphire Dream and Hex Ready to give a smokey purplish blue look. I love that this palette is so versatile. I also mentioned that I think this palette would be good for an everyday look. The palette may have unconventional shimmer shadows, but I definitely can make it work for an appropriate everyday look. Be sure to look for that in an upcoming post soon!

Bath & Body Works Fall Candle Haul 2018

Hello Everyone!

Before I start today's post, I want to thank everyone that checked on me and sent messages etc. during Hurricane Florence this past weekend. I appreciate your kind words and prayers.  I still have a sinus infection, but I'm starting to feel better. Let us not forget those affected by Hurricane Florence and those who lost their lives. God Bless everyone!

Today I bring you my Bath & Body Works Fall Haul 2018. I was going to wait a few more day until Fall, but I plan on composing other posts that will probably feature the products in this post. Let's get started! *All product information is courtesy of

Whipped Buttercream, Madagascar Vanilla, Pumpkin Spice, Freshly Baked Cupcake

My Thoughts

This candle smells more sweet than pumpkin spice. It has a light vanilla scent, but it smells very nice. The pumpkin spice is noticeable on a cold sniff, but it's not overpowering. I hope this candle throws well!

Vanilla Pumpkin Marshmallow:

Creamy Vanilla, Pumpkin Spice, Homemade Marshmallow, Drizzled Caramel

My Thoughts

If you're not a fan of pumpkin scents, you may want to try this candle. There are hints of pumpkin spice, but the vanilla dominates the candle. I can smell the marshmallows, but the caramel is very faint. It's almost non existent. This reminds me of a vanilla cake with spice. It's a strong scent on a cold sniff, so I have high hopes of this candle will have a strong throw.

Hot Cocoa & Cream:

Decadent Milk Chocolate, Fresh Steamed Milk, Mini Marshmallows

My Thoughts

Is it me or does this candle fragrance changes every year? I first bought this candle in 2016 from the holiday collection. It's supposed to smell like hot chocolate. It used to smell like swiss miss hot chocolate, but now it smells more of a tootsie roll scent with cocoa powder. I'm hoping this candle will throw more of a Swiss Miss scent.

Golden Honeycrisp, Apple Blossom, Fresh Sugarcane with Essential Oils

My Thoughts

I was hoping that this was a repackage of Farmestand Apple, American Apple etc, but the scent is slightly different. This candle smells of more of a perfumed apple scent, not a sweet crisp apple. Many people say this is a repackage, but I don't smell it. I even asked my favorite sales rep at Bath & Body Works, and she said it wasn't a repackage.

Red Delicious Apple, Fall Pumpkin, Fresh Ground Cinnamon, Clove Buds

My Thoughts

This candle is a perfect blend of pumpkin and apple with cinnamon and clove This candle is more of a spice scent. When burning, the candle fills up a room quickly and the scent lingers for hours.  This candle is everything I'd hoped it would be!

Glitter Magnetic Pumpkins, Glitter Magnetic Leaves, and Wood Crate

How beautiful are these pumpkins and leaves? I had to have them for my Fall decor! I picked up 4 crates as well. The crates make great freebie items!

Glitter Magnetic Leaves and  Leaf Candle Holder

I really love the Fall candle accessories this year! I love the sparkle and glitter of the items!

Happy Fall candle burning! What are you favorite Bath & Body Works favorite candle scents?
