I know I'm kind of late with this post lol, but today I bring you part of my VS Black Friday Haul. I actually ordered these items online on Thanksgiving since VS offered early access to the free tote (with $75 purchase). I figured it would be a good time to make a few purchases. Is anyone else obsessed with shopping at Victoria's Secret?! Even though they can be expensive, they have some great items! I can truly say this is one of my favorite places to shop!

VS Black Friday Tote with Heavenly Mini Set

Front of tote

Back of tote

These were the free items I received with my purchase. Isn't that tote gorgeous?! The Heavenly set smells nice too!

VS Fantasies Body Wash and Body Butter

Since the weather is getting colder and I needed to restock, I purchased a few body butters and a body wash.

VS Large and Mini Stripe Cosmetic Bags

VS has some great makeup bags, and I've been wanting these for a while lol. I think that mini makeup bag was adorable! It's small, but roomy for some items when I don't want to carry my larger makeup bags.

I mentioned earlier that this is part of my haul since I made a few other beauty gift purchases I want to keep a surprise until Christmas. I also purchased a few panties, but I would feel kind of weird to show my new undies online lol.

Did you ladies buy anything from VS on Black Friday? Did you watch the VS Fashion Show on Tuesday night?

* Bonus picture: Here are two crease brushes I got from AVON that came in the mail today.

The Christmas Tag 2014

Hello Everyone!

I've seen the Christmas Tag going around, so I wanted to join the fun and share some of my Christmas memories and traditions.

Questions

1. What is your favorite Christmas Movie/s?

A Christmas Story! I always watch it on TBS every year. ( you know when TBS shows the 24 hr marathon) I also like the cartoon version of How The Grinch Stole Christmas! I have both DVD as well!

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?

Both! I may open one gift on Christmas Eve, but I usually wait until Christmas morning!

3. Do you have a favorite Christmas memory?

Going to see Christmas lights. One in particular was an elderly couple who put up this gorgeous light display every year with Santa Claus, reindeer, etc. It was so cool they even had a little pond in their back yard with Christmas decor. They would have cars lined up to see their house and people would stand around as well. I also liked to help decorate the Christmas tree, it was so much fun!

4. Favorite festive food?

This may sound weird, but it's homemade lasagna. It's one of my favorite foods my mom makes for my birthday dinner/ (Christmas). I didn't realize until a few years ago some people eat Lasagna on Christmas.

5. Favorite Christmas gift?

I've had so many wonderful Christmas gifts, so all of them are special to me in some way :) It's hard to choose just one.

6. Favorite Christmas scent?

Bath and Body Works used to have a candle called Winter Musk, but now I think it's called Winter. The candle used to be in a small glitter silver jar shaped like a Christmas bulb with a cute top. It smelled just like Christmas.

7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?

Christmas Eve is usually low key. I may finish wrapping gifts, cooking, and watching TV. Sometimes I see my best friend unless he has to work and if so, I'll see him a few days later.

8. What tops your tree?

Usually a star. For some reason I don't know why there's no star on top of the tree in this picture...I think the lights didn't work lol

9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?

A Barbie Jeep! I didn't get one, but I got a beautiful Barbie Dream House instead! I was pretty stoked that Christmas!

10. What's the best part about Christmas for you?

This one is kind of sentimental for me because my mom always tells me Happy Birthday first...then Merry Christmas. For those born on Christmas such as myself know the holiday can overshadow our birthday lol. I'm very fond of giving gifts, to see the happy look on someone's face is priceless.  I love everything about Christmas it's truly the most wonderful time of year!

I know I've been slacking off with my Manicure Monday series and manicures in general lately, but honestly I just haven't really been polishing my nails much. I guess I haven't been all that inspired to polish them since I've been keeping them short. I think I'm going to grow them back long because I really miss my long nails lol.

Lets get started with the holiday manicures!

1. A classic red looks good during the holiday season.

Oh how I love this time of year! Everything is decorated so pretty and the holiday season is just a wonderful time of year (in my opinion) I also love this time of year because my birthday is coming up on Christmas! For those who don't know, Yes, I'm a Christmas baby :)

Now with all that being written here are a few makeup looks I came up with that I'll be wearing throughout the month. The first two makeup looks are more for Christmas and the last two makeup looks are geared toward New Years Eve. I usually stay in for New Year's Eve, but I still can do my makeup :) I decided to go ahead and post these looks so they would be up for in plenty of time for the holiday season.

My Thoughts

Very moisturizing! I like using this moisturizer on my face before going to bed. It applies smoothly, moisturizers well, and lasts long after application. If I wear this moisturizer during the day, my face is protected since it has SPF 30 protection which is always beneficial. Even though this product is supposed to be fragrance free I noticed that I had a slight sunscreen scent when I applied it on my face. I also noticed that it stated in the claims section this moisturizer is supposed to be non-greasy. Well...in my opinion it depends on how much you use. It felt a little greasy on my face, but it doesn't take a lot of the product to get full coverage. Even though this moisturizer felt a little greasy, I did try it try it under my makeup a few times. Since this moisturizer has a matte finish, I think it worked well after I applied my makeup. My makeup applied smoothly and face didn't look shiny. I can see myself continuing to use this moisturizer from time to time before I apply my makeup. Like I mentioned earlier, I think it all depends on how much you apply on your face that makes the difference on your face feeling greasy and or looking shiny.

Overall, I think this is a good moisturizer. For me, this moisturizer controls acne more than it controls oil. When I had a few acne bumps, this moisturizer cleared it right up. I would purchase this product in the future especially since it's good for multiple uses that I listed throughout the post.

I hope everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving had a wonderful day! This just a quick little review of my day. I spent Thanksgiving with my mom and this is the food we made for dinner (even though she made majority of the meal lol) The day was pretty quiet and laid back...cooking, watching movies, and eating yummy Thanksgiving dinner. I also did my makeup and I include those pictures in this post as well.
