Beauty and Bath Mini Haul

Hello Everyone!

Here is a mini haul of items I purchased purchased in January and February.

I’m not going to review all the items since they’re self explaintory, but I am going  to review the makeup compact. I’ll start with the non reviewed items first.

1. Equate Beauty Wedge Applicator Sponges

2. Loofahs

3. Equate Tear Free Baby Shampoo

4. Shick Quattro for Women Sensitive Skin Limited Edition click here for review

Now on to my reviewed item…

5. Covergirl Clean Normal Skin Pressed Powder (Soft Honey 165)

I’m not thrilled about writing about this item…so here we go! First off I absolutely HATED the smell. This powder smells medicated and like the Noxzema Cream that comes in the large blue jar. Ok don’t get me wrong, I use other various products from Noxzema, but they don’t smell anything like this pressed powder. The smell is just so strong, which a major problem for me. I even left my compact open for a while to try and fade the smell. It helped a little, but the smell was still lingering. This powder also broke my face out on my cheek. It took almost three weeks for that to clear up in January! Sorry for that rant lol. As for the pressed powder in general, it applies ok and it made my face feel kind of heavy. I really didn’t feel this product delivered a natural look as stated on the package. There are other drugstore brands that I like much better. This definitely doesn’t go on my favorite list and I won’t ever purchase this again. There is a silver lining, I called the company to discuss my issues with this product and they sent me out a coupon for a free product of my choice. So if you’re reading Covergirl representatives, thanks again for all your help!!

Well there you have it, my little haul. I will be showing a larger haul in the upcoming weeks so be on the lookout for that :)

I haven't tried that Covergirl powder but I will stay away from it! Thanks for your honest opinion! I feel like a long time ago I used a Covergirl foundation that had a really strong weird smell to it too!!

Thank you!

You're welcome! I just had to give my opinion on this face powder. It may work well for others but I thought it was just awful! I can believe the foundation you used had a strong smell, thanks for mentioning it!

Thank you! I really had high hopes for the face powder, but it was a major letdown.

Too had about that face powder! It's nice of them to do that for you though! I've never encountered a weird smelling face powder but I can see now that would be very annoying! Great haul, missed you! Hope everything's going well for you :)

I'm sorry you hated that product, I totally hate when products cause me breakouts!! Lame! I'm glad their customer service was good at least!

Nice haul! That's a bummer that the Covergirl powder didn't work for you, but it was so nice of the company to give you the coupon. I haven't used a Covergirl powder in years. I guess that's a good thing! xoxo Lauren

I know! It was very frustrating that powder broke out my face, but at least now I know about the product lol! I'm glad that customer service was helpful!

Thank you! Normally if I use a drugstore powder, I stick to Revlon, but I wanted to give Covergirl try. That was nice of them to send that free coupon for a product of my choice!
