NYX Butter Lipstick Review

Hello Everyone!

Disclaimer:
My apologies for the missing pictures. My pictures were accidentally deleted off my blog. Please Refer to my Instagram account miss_pilar to view the pictures (or some of the pictures) that were deleted.

I've really been wearing a lot of lipsticks so far this Summer and I wanted to share my thoughts on NYX's Butter Lipstick. I think they came out earlier this year, so they're still fairly new.

Swatches

From left to right: Hot Tamale, Razzle, and Pops

I thought I would include a few pictures to give a better idea of how the colors look. I'm only wearing lipstick in each picture.

Hot Tamale: A bright orange

Razzle: A blue based bright pink

Pops: A pinkish nude

My Thoughts:

I really like these butter lipsticks! Honestly I can't think of a better name to call them because the glide on my lips so smoothly and they're very moisturizing. Another plus is that these lipsticks are very pigmented and long lasting. I've worn these lipsticks for most of the day without reapplying. I purchased these lipsticks from Ulta, when they were on sale. I think it was a buy one get one half off sale a while back. If you're looking for inexpensive lipstick I highly recommend NYX Butter Lipstick.  Also any recommendations on the the NYX Butter Glosses?  I've had my eye on Apple Strudel for a while any other colors I should try?

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Thank you! I think you might be talking about Sweet Tart. I don't have it, but from the pictures I've seen it looks a like a darker shade of pink. I agree these lipsticks are amazing!

I'm loving hot tamale! I was looking for an orange lip color without it being too orange. Great review!

I really like Hot Tamale! Bright orange is on trend right now, and I can't get enough of it! The only butter gloss I have is in Maple Blondie, and I really like it. It's a light coral-y pink.

Thank you! I like how also like how Hot Tamale isn't too orange. It's bold, but not too overly bold. Another great orange is Tuitti Fruitti Lip Butter by Revlon!

Thank you! I think I found the perfect orange lipstick with Hot Tamale!

Thank you! I know I see so many women wearing orange lipstick! I've worn orange lipstick in the past, but I'm glad to see it's now a popular color! I've seen the Maple Blondie butter gloss, it's a really pretty color!

These shades look amazing on you Pilar! I just checked but unfortunately these aren't available in Germany yet or otherwise I would have loved to give them a try.

Been hearing so much about these but haven't gotten around to trying them yet!

Ooh I love Razzle! Not sure I could pull it off though.

I wanted to try them since I heard so much about them too! So far I really like them! I want to try the butter glosses next.

Thank you! Razzle is bright, but it's wearable. You could always pair it with a darker lip liner to tone it down if it's too bright for your liking.

they aren't as moisturizing as lip butters from revlon, but they are very nice. i love the orange

Pilar said...

Thank you! I agree, Revlon Lip Butters have more moisture I noticed that too. I like that these are very pigmented whereas some of Revlon Lip Butters are very sheer and you really have to build the color you want.

Never heard of this brand of lipstick. I will have to check it out. Do they have read colors or darker pinks? I like the Hot Tamale on you, can't wait to see what's next.

Pilar said...

Thank you! They have red and darker pink shades. I usually get mine from Ulta and www.nyxcosmetics.com You can find the list of colors there. I hope this helps!
