Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick Review

Hello Everyone!

Disclaimer: The product in this post was sent to me from Palmer's for review purposes. See First Impressions Post . All opinions are 100% my own

I've mentioned this product in the past, so I'm familiar with this swivel stick, but I never wrote a full review about it. So today I bring you a full review.

About the Product and Claims Etc.

Description

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick provides on-the-spot help for marks and blemishes and is ideal for touch-up moisturizing on face and body.  Also may be used to moisturize and soothe dry, cracked, chapped lips.

Key Ingredients

- Cocoa Butter: a rich, natural moisturizer that leaves skin soft and silky, transforming even the roughest, driest areas into buttery soft skin.

- Vitamin E: a powerful antioxidant that helps improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks and imperfections on the skin, giving a more even and toned appearance

* This product is NOT animal tested. Palmer's is against animal testing.

My Thoughts

I started using this product back in 2013 as lip balm. I really like the cocoa scent and when used as a lip balm, I found it long lasting throughout the day. You can never have to many lip products lol! I strictly use this swivel stick as a lip balm, but since I have another one, I may use the other one for skincare touch ups and blemishes. I really don't have any cons because I like using this product, it's versatile, and for about $2.20 at Walmart it's reasonably priced

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Moisture Body Wash

Hello Everyone!

Disclaimer: The product in this post was sent to me from Palmer's for review purposes See First Impressions Post. All opinions are 100% my own.

By now if your familiar with my blog, you know that I love shower and bath products. Today's review is about this Moisture Body Wash by Palmer's.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturizing Body Wash:

- With vitamin E for enhanced skin care
- Made with natural cocoa butter
- Creamy body wash with no sulfates
- Gentle on skin for regular use
- 13.5 fl oz container of moisturizing body wash

About the Product and Claims etc.

Description

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturizing Body Wash, a naturally creamy body wash, is a combination of pure Cocoa Butter and gentle-cleansing and emollient-rich moisturizing ingredients. It is ideal for sensitive skin, dry skin and delicate areas.  Cleanse and moisturize in one easy step with a formula that is free of sulfates. Rinses easily, leaving behind only soft, supple, even-toned skin.

Key Ingredients

- Cocoa Butter: a rich natural moisturizer that leaves skin soft and silky, tranforming even the roughest, driest areas into buttery soft skin.

-  Vitamin E: a powerful antioxidant that helps improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks and imperfections on the skin, giving a more even and toned appearance.

Other Ingredients

Water (Aqua), Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Butylene Glycol, Peg-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Glycol Stearate, Cocamide Mea, Sodium Chloride, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter*, Polyquaternium-10, Fragrance, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Tocopheryl Acetate, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Yellow 5 (Ci 19140). Orange 4 (Ci 15510).

* This product is NOT animal tested. Palmer's is against animal testing.

My Thoughts

My shower smelled amazing when I use this body wash! The buttery chocolate scent is so nice! This is my first time using a body wash that smelled like chocolate, and I was pleasantly surprised how much I like the scent of this body wash. I don't really have dry skin except for the small patch of Eczema on my elbows from time to time, and this body wash helps retrieve moisture back to them.  After I get out the shower, my skin still felt soft (even my feet) before I use any lotion. Moisture in a body wash is important to me because I hate body washes that make my skin feel dry. I look forward to using this body wash in the upcoming cooler months. The formula of this body wash is very creamy and it lathers well on both a washcloth or a loofah. I really like this body wash and I highly recommend tying a bottle!

My Thoughts

I really like how this skin therapy is versatile. I primarily used this oil for acne scars, uneven skin tone, and dry skin. I noticed when I used the oil that I could see significant changes and improvements with my skin. If you read my other review on PALMER'S MOISTURIZING BODY OIL, you may find that these two products sound similar due to all the benefits and key ingredients. My skin has a more even tone since I started using this product and when I have any acne scars this is now my go to oil. The only time I use this oil 3 times a day is for any acne scars that I may have. In 2 days I notice that the two acne scars I had were gone. I must say, that's pretty impressive! This Summer heat has made my skin a little dryer than normal, so I make sure that I keep my skin moisturized. Once again this oil has done it's job! I typically don't have problematic skin except for the few minor issues I have with the dryness of Eczema on my elbows from time to time, but this oil helps with that too.

This oil comes with an pump spray that's makes application easy to apply. If you're only using this oil for acne scars and you can dab some of the oil on a Q-Tip or cotton ball. This oil smells just like the Palmer's Moisturizing Body Oil, chocolate devil's food cake. The smell isn't overpowering, but you can notice a chocolate scent. Depending on how much you use will make all the difference if the oil will be fast absorbing or not. When I first tried this oil, my skin did feel slightly greasy, but the oil didn't stain my clothes since I let the oil set in my skin before I got dressed. As I continue to use the oil I use less and then I noticed that it was fast absorbing. This is one of those type products that less is more and your skin will still feel moisturized. Overall I like this skin therapy oil and I think this is a good oil to add to my skincare products.

Have you tried Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil?

The Importance of Discipline

Hello Everyone!

I feel to maintain a balance in life you should have discipline in every aspect of your life. Here a few ways I try to maintain discipline in my life.

1. Hold on to God's Hand

I'm a firm believer in the saying "Keep God first in all the things you do." As always I'm not one to push my religious beliefs on anyone, but when I feel undisciplined I turn to God, pray, and read the Bible. I may not be an overly religious person, but turning to God helps me put things into perspective and see things clearer with a level head.

2. Self Control

If you think about it, how can you have discipline if you don't have any self control? I have to admit maintaining self control can be difficult at times but nonetheless self control is important to keep things into perspective.

3. Set Goals

It's a known fact that life isn't going to go the way we want it to all the time, that doesn't mean you shouldn't set goals for yourself. Setting goals keeps can help you stay focused and motivated.

How do you keep yourself disciplined?

An Important Update About My Blog

Hello Everyone!

You may have noticed that I've been absent around social Media the past few days. So I'll let you know why. I just upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S4 to a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and during the file transfer the pics on my Picasa album on blogger was deleted. I'm not sure of what happened or why my Picasa album was deleted, but long story short, 90% of the pictures were deleted off my blog. I think it had to do something with Picasa because everything else during the transfer went perfectly. I had a complete blogger meltdown filled with anger and frustration to say the least. I was totally shocked that even though my pictures were already posted on my blog, that they would be deleted if Picasa was deleted. Typically I save most of my pictures. Since I've blogging for the past two years, I've taken a lot of pictures, and I didn't save every picture I took. Even if I retook all the pictures over, I don't have some of the items anymore. I'm so glad that most of my pictures can be found on my Instagram account!

At least none of my writing content was deleted which was a blessing.  Even though I was frustrated, it was no need to continue to cry over spilled milk. The day after most of my pictures were deleted, I decided to go back and replace some of the pictures I had back onto my blog.. I cleared my schedule to dedicate the day to re-edit my blog. It took majority of the day, but I accomplished my goal. My blog is very important to me and I wanted to do all I could to fix this issue. If you decide to back and review some of my posts you will notice that I only went back far as April 14, 2015 with my pictures. That was the day I returned back to my blog from taking a personal break and during the process of me getting ready to move. I figured that was a good place to stop since I was moving during the time I look at it all as fresh start.

All my other posts on blog prior to April 14, 2015 has my writing content...reviews, inspirational posts, hauls, tutorials etc. it's still there, just not my pictures. For those of you that are new to my blog, you will notice that if you look at my old content you will see the disclaimer (along with my Instagram link) I provided the top of each post providing which will state:

Disclaimer:
My apologies for the missing pictures. My pictures were accidentally deleted off my blog. Please Refer to my Instagram account miss_pilar to view the pictures (or some of the pictures) that were deleted.

I plan on working on an updated MAC lipstick collection, NYX Lip Pencils, swatches, etc. I'm not sure of the date, but those types post are definitely on my agenda for the future. I should be back to posting very soon, and in the meantime, I'm going to try to catch up on reading, and commenting on your posts!

Once again not all my pictures are lost since I have them on my other social media links that I've provided for you below:

On a more positive note, I love my Galaxy Note 4. It's an amazing phone!
