Today I'm going to share my thoughts about Curls Blueberry Bliss Collection. To continue my journey towards healthier hair, let's get started with reviews!

My Thoughts

As I used this shampoo, my hair felt cleansed and moisturized, but the shampoo left my hair feeling a little dry. Thankfully the shampoo didn't dry out my hair completely, but it did make it frizzy.

My Thoughts

Finally a hair mask in Jar! A girl with thick curly hair dream! If you have frizzy/dry hair then you know your hair is prone to breakage. The hair wash made my hair frizzy, but this hair mask help reduce the frizz. I've used this hair mask twice so far, but it's very moisturizing and hydrating on my hair. I noticed that there was minimal breakage and I was able to detangle my hair with ease. I'm looking forward to seeing how my hair will progress as I continue to use this product.

Blueberry Bliss Reparative Leave In Conditioner

My Thoughts

I like that this leave in conditioner leaves my hair feeling soft and moisturized. Usually I have add a lot of leave in conditioner on my hair, but not with this conditioner. A little conditioner goes a long way. I use this conditioner on my hair every 2 to 3 days.

Blueberry Bliss Twist N Shout Cream

My Thoughts

I've done both a twist/braid out on my hair with this twist and shout cream. The cream lives up to it's claims. I noticed that my hair had sheen, moisture, and definition; however, my hair did look a little frizzy. I'm not to worry about the frizz. Even though my hair is still frizzy, it's not as frizzy like before I started using this cream.

Blueberry Bliss CURL Control Jelly

My Thoughts

I like to use this control Jelly on my hair after a wash and go. I used to hate doing a wash a go because other products would leave my hair looking and feeling frizzy. The control jelly keeps my curls defined and my hair isn't frizzy! My curls looks so voluminous!

Blueberry Bliss CURL Control Paste

My Thoughts

The paste has to be my favorite out of all the products! The scent smells so fruity! My edges are controlled when I use this paste. This paste gives my hair sheen without looking or feeling greasy. My curls hold throughout the day. By the end of the day my hair still looks fresh.

Blueberry & Mint Tea Scalp Treatment

Description

Formulated with certified organic blueberry seed oil, corn mint and coconut oil proven to enhance hair growth, soothe and refresh dry, itchy scalp, and relieve itching. NO sulfates, silicones, parabens, artificial oils, or fragrances.

My Thoughts

The scent of mint hair products is starting to grow on me. This scalp treatment does smell like mint, but the blueberry scent helps balance the both scents. I love using this oil on my hair because it helps reduce dryness and my hair feels so moisturized.

Lipstick and eyeshadow are two of my favorite makeup products. For today's blog I'm going to focus on lipstick from IGXO Cosmetics.

I was asked to choose two products. For my two selections, I went with one of my favorite YouTuber's Nitraa B's lipsticks in Mauve Sugar and Rammer Jammer. IGXO sent over #SAVAGE and #SEXYAF. Let's get started with the reviews.

Lipstick Swatches

My Thoughts

This is a beautiful color! I love wearing a mauve shade that I can wear all year round. I've been watching Nitraab for years and I was happy that she developed a Lipstick since she wears so many different beautiful shades of lipstick in her videos etc. The lipstick is very comfortable to wear and kiss proof. Wear time is pretty impressive. I wore this lipstick the other day for about 8 hours.


Rammer Jammer

A deep twist on a crimson red. This rich burgundy is perfect for jazzing up a simple makeup look, putting some pizzazz into an every day nude face, or spicing up your style for a special date night. Always matte, but never drying, this long-wearing formula, keeps lips moisturized and comfortable with high-intensity pigmentation.

While this is a long wearing formula, it does not dry down on your lips, remaining moisturized and comfortable with high intensity pigmentation.

My Thoughts

Honestly I think Nitraa B did an amazing job with this lipstick as well. I like how she choose to create a light and a dark shade of lipstick. I'm all about a Vampy red lip during the Fall and throughout the Winter and this crimson red is perfect for the colder months. This lipstick is also comfortable to wear on lips and kiss proof. I wore this lipstick for about 6 hours without the color fading.

My Thoughts

If this isn't the perfect lipstick, it's pretty close, and this lipstick has slight sweet bakery scent that I like. I haven't had a red lipstick like this one in a long time. I usually have a hard time finding a matte liquid red lipstick, but this color is gorgeous and the formula is long lasting without drying my lips.

If you're looking for a everyday nude lipstick, this lipstick is one to consider. This is a beautiful subtle nude lipstick that can be worn day or night. I'm not too fond of mint scented lipsticks, but I can overlook the scent because the color is so beautiful. This lipstick doesn't dry my lips after hours of wear. 

Emotional Decisions

Hello Everyone!

A few months ago I was watching something on TV (I can't remember the name of the program), but the topic discussed focused on how people tend to make decisions based on emotion rather than logic. It made me stop and think, do I make more emotional decisions? Nobody is pefect, but for the most part I try to make decisions based on what is right for my overall wellbeing.

Age typically comes wisdom and growth. I don't see life the way I did at 24 as I do now at 34. Sure I view a few things the same, but I also view things differently.

I ask myself quite often when it comes to decisions how will this effect my future or how will this better my future etc. If something or someone is not going add something meaningful to my life then I need to stay clear of it. I made a promise to myself that I would protect my inner peace more.

In the past I stayed in relationships and friendships long beyond their expiration date. It's okay to outgrow friendships. Some relationships should have never developed in the first place (only speaking for myself), but I'm sure someone reading can relate.

Emotional decision making can lead to negative results. For example if you're mad, you may say something out of anger that you don't mean and hurt someone's feelings. If you were to take the time to cool of you may have chosen to handle the situation differently. Honestly I think it's hard not to make some decisions without being emotional involved. We're all human, but I try not to let my emotions get the best of me when making decisions.

I'm super excited to share today's post! It's a makeup haul! What better way to start the month off than to talk about makeup? I recently had the opportunity to choose a few items from Coastal Scents.

Hot Pots: Single Eyeshadows

Coastal Scents has a very large selection of Hot Pots Single Eyeshadows. The individual shadows I chose are very pigmented, and when I used my brush to swatch the shadows I notice very minimal fallout.

You can use the shadows in empty palettes such as Coastal Scents, Z Palette etc to create your own eyeshadow palette.

I have always wanted to customize my own palette. As you may know customizing your own palette can be costly depending on the brand you choose. I really love that Costal Scents has affordable shadows that I can create my own dream palette.

To customize my Palette I went with a neutrals, blue shadows, white shadows, and pastel shadows. The shadows have a magnetic base to place inside the magnetic palette. The second eyeshadow slot on the top row is a dud. The magnet won't stay in the pan so for now I'm using tape and the shadow stays in place.

Stay tuned for looks I plan on creating with my new palette!

Eclipse Palette

I've heard so many good reviews for the Eclispe Palette. A good concealer is a must have in my makeup routine and for my makeup clients. I typically use individual concealers, but I like this palette that has a variety of cream shades all in one place.

The packaging is durable, but I noticed the black part around some of the concealers was lifted from the packaging.

The concealers are in good condition, so I'm not too worried about the small issues with the packaging.

Pearl Makeup Brush Set

This brush set is absolutely gorgeous, and the brushes feel soft! The pearl handles make these brushes look so elegant. I always wash new brushes before I use them and the bristles don't shed and seem to be very durable.

These brushes are normally $40, and they're worth the price. You can always wait until these brushes go on sale to get them cheaper. I decided to get another set to use for bride makeup clients. I think these brushes can will add a nice touch while doing a bride's makeup on her special day.

Bionic Flat Top Buffer Brush

Buffer brushes are one of the main staples I keep in my brush collection and I use frequently in my makeup routine. The bristles on the brush are so soft. At first I thought this was a travel brush, but it's slightly smaller compared to some of my full sized brushes.

I can't wait to see how this buffer brush works with blending my foundation. This brush didn't shed when I washed it and like the Pearl Makeup Brush Set, this Bionic Flat Top Buffer Brush seems durable.

Overall I'm happy with my selections from Coastal Scents. The shipping process took about a week, but in all fairness I think the delay was due to Christmas. I order these products the Friday before Christmas. Everything came in tack and packaged securely in bubble wrap.

I absolutely love this blow dryer! This blown dryer has adjustable setting and dries my hair quickly. The travel bag that comes with the blown dryer is so cute. This blow dryer works just as good if (not better) than some standard blow dryers that I've used. Truly a must have for travel! $49.99 is a little pricey, but this travel dryer is worth the money!

As some of you may remember I mentioned that I'm trying to get healthier hair. To maintain healthy hair I have to keep my hair hydrated and moisturized.  Outside of Curls, I really love using this treatment oil. The oil smells great and it's not greasy. I love to use this oil on the ends of my hair. The oil helps prevent breakage and adds moisture to my hair.

My Thoughts

I'm very picky when it comes to using wipes to remove my makeup.  I like that these wipes are oil and alcohol free. CVS promotes clean beauty and these wipes are paraben & phthalate free. My skin feels so soft and refreshed after I take off my makeup. For the days I'm not wearing makeup, I like to use these wipes throughout the day to refresh my face.
