Holiday Health Update

 Hello Everyone!

As many of you know I was really sick in August and September with pneumonia, sepsis, and covid. Since I was so sick my blood sugar skyrocketed to 525 once I was the ER during the first hosptial visit. I've never been a diabetic, but because I was so sick the onset of diabetes became prevalent. Diabetics does run heavily in my family but I never had a problem. My A1C has always been in the range of normal and pre-diabetic. 

The doctors in the hospital and my primary doctor were hoping that my diabetes would reverse since they notice my A1C was coming down significantly within a matter of those few weeks. Thank God I'm on the right path. I'm so happy to report that my A1C is normal again.

I was so nervous before my doctor appointment earlier this week because outside the diabetes concerns I'm still battling colds and sinuses, but my low grade fever was normal by time I went to my appointment. Thankfully my test came back negative for Covid, Flu, and Strep Throat. My lungs sounded clear and my heart sounded good. I can hold off on getting my lungs checked for now. I still have to watch out for fevers and get my lungs checked every few months. I'm still under the weather, but I feel so blessed that my health is improving. This is one of best Christmas/Birthday gifts that I could receive.

Christmas Cocoa

 Hello Everyone!

I love a good cup of hot cocoa, but it's something special about hot cocoa around Christmas especially when it's cold outside. 

It's been freezing outside the past few days so that's a perfect excuse for me to make myself a cup of my favorite hot beverage. Tonight I used Swiss Miss. 

I've been cutting down on sugar. This is my first time Reddi Whip Zero Sugar and it's pretty good. It may even taste better than the original in my opinion. 

No cup of hot cocoa is complete without buring a Hot Cocoa and Cream Candle. I've had this one for a few years and it's a fresh burn for tonight. 

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas/Birthday

We're officially one week away from Christmas/ My Birthday! To say these past few months have been challenging would be an understatement.

I'm slowly but surely getting back into doing full face of makeup. I haven't been feeling the best with all this congestion, but doing my makeup is like second nature to me.

A Bombshell Magic Kind of Christmas

I look forward to this time of year for many reasons. I love seeing the limited edition items that are released specifically for the holidays. I'm a fan of Victoria's Secret Bombshell Parfum Collection. 

Last year VS released Bombshell Magic and there's everything magical about the scent. The packaging is gorgeous and it's a great fragrance to wear during the day or evening.

As I mentioned this was a limited edition release from 2022 so it's unavailable on the vs website, but you can find it on other outlets such as Amazon etc. I think Bombshell Magic should be added permanently to the Bombshell Collection since it gives a twist on the original lineup.

My December

 Hello Everyone!

It's kind of hard for me to believe that we are actually in the last month of the year, also my birthday month.

In my last post I started putting up my Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving.

It usually takes me a few days to decorate it. I've been so tired after work, I finally finished my tree last Saturday. 

I also finished decorating around the house as well.

Last but not least, the Christmas Snow Village. 

 

Christmas In Progress

 Hello Everyone, 

This holiday season will be different especially with it being the first holiday season without my mom. Christmas was one of her favorite holidays. As many of you know that my birthday is on Christmas Day. I've made a promise to myself that I won't get too depressed this holiday season, but I won't lie, it's hard. 

The day after Thanksgiving I made myself take out the Christmas Tree and decorations. It made me think of all the happy holiday memories I shared with my mom over the years. I owe it to her memory to continue Christmas Traditions. 

My tree has been the same theme for the past 3 years. Silver, Clear, and White. The lights reflecting off the clear ornaments looks so beautiful. 

I like to burn a candle(s) as I'm decorating. I usually burn Fresh Balsam, but this time I'm burning Vanilla Bean Noel, one of my favorite Christmas Candles.
