So I've been absent for over a week due to yet another sinus infection and allergy issues. I'm glad that I'm starting to feel better, I missed posting and reading your blogs!

Today's post is a FOTD I did a while ago that I meant to put up. I've been putting my new MAC lipsticks to use lately lol I just love the shades I picked out, they're so pretty for this time of year :) This FOTD  may look familiar because one of the pics I have shown is also on my Instagram.

I think this a great look to wear during the Summer! (Even though I won't be wearing much makeup because the weather is too HOT in South during the Summer) Don't worry I'll still post FOTD though :)

My apologies for the dim lighting

Sephora Collection Rose Gold Mineral Brush Set Review

Hello Everyone!

Left to right:
- Stippling Brush
- Powder Brush
- Shadow Brush
- Smudge Brush
- Liner Brush

Today I’m going to review this beautiful brush set from Sephora. Based on my first sentence, you’ve probably guessed that I like the brushes…and you would be right!

First Impressions:

- The beautiful rose gold color

- Each brush has it's name on

- The brush case. The gold case compliments the brushes well

Magnetic Closure

- The length of the brushes are between travel size and full size. I wish the length of the brushes were longer.

- Applies makeup well

- Brushes are soft

- Bristles don’t shed when I wash the brushes

Overall this brush set is a HIT for me! I’m unsure if Sephora is selling this brush set in stores or still selling this set in general. When I received mine in December as a gift, it was an online exclusive. This Rose Gold Mineral Brush Set is a wonderful addition to my makeup collection.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette Review Featuring FOTD

Hello Everyone!

Today I'm going to review Urban Decay's Naked 2 palette. You can review the Naked Palette Here and the Naked 3 Palette Here. This was a gift from my bestie♡ he's so awesome! If you read my blog, you know that I like to have products for a while so I can write an accurate review :)

Apperance

- Unlike the velvet case of the original Naked palette, the Naked 2 palette comes in a metal/tin case.

- The mirror is a decent size. I really like the mirror because I dislike small mirrors in eyeshadow palettes.

Two sided brush

- A Lip Junkie Lipgloss came with the palette. I really dislike the minty/vanilla smell it's so overpowering lol

My Thoughts

Naked 2 is definitely a winner! I love the cool colors of this palette! It has so many satin/metallic colors that are simply gorgeous (there are three matte finishes that include foxy, tease, and blackout).

From Left to Right

1. Foxy  2. Half Baked 3. Bootycall 4.Chopper 5. Tease 6. Snakebite  7. Suspect 8. Pistol  9. Verve  10. YDK  11. Busted  12. Blackout

I know some people don't think it's necessary to purchase both the Naked and Naked 2 palettes since some colors are the same or similar, but I think both palettes have their own uniqueness. I really liked using this palette during the Winter especially for dramatic eye makeup looks, but I will definitely use this palette all during the year lol. During the upcoming warmer months, I'll likely stick with neutral eye makeup when I used this palette.

Blogging Writer's Block

Hello Everyone!

Have you ever had case of writers block? I know there have been times I stare at a blank screen or a sheet of paper and ask myself "What should I write about today?" Here are a few tips I use to help with blogging writer's block.

1. Discuss Topics Outside of Your Blog's Focus

I know some people apologize on their blog because they decide to write about other topics outside their intended focus. Why are you apologizing or feeling guilty?!?!?!!! It's YOUR BLOG!! You can write and discuss any topic you want :) In my opinion about various topics gives a blog a more personal touch.

2. With That Being Said…What Topics Interest You The Most? Write About Them!

3. Keep a Topics Journal

By keeping a journal, you can jot down ideas for your upcoming posts, so you won't forget them.

4. Take a Break

Are you in constant blogging overdrive? If so, you may need to take a break little break from blogging. I feel blogging is no fun if I force myself to post or feel rushed. I like to let blogging come naturally. Taking a break doesn't mean you're not dedicated to your blog, but I think we all need a break sometime or another.

5. Don't Get Discouraged

Most likely you'll get ideas you can write about, just give yourself some time :)

Those are just a few of my tips for blogging writer's block. How do you overcome blogging writer's block or writer's block in general?

Pilar

Urban Decay Naked Palette Review Featuring FOTD

Hello Everyone!

Disclaimer:
My apologies for the missing pictures. My pictures were accidentally deleted off my blog. Please Refer to my Instagram account miss_pilar to view the pictures (or some of the pictures) that were deleted.

I've been using my Naked Palette lately, so I wanted to share my thoughts about this palette after having it for a few months :)

Apearance

Left to right:
Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep, Gunmetal

I actually like the velvet casing of this package. I've read so many reviews about how people dislike the case lol, but I think it's kind of unique. The case is sturdy which I like because I hate cases that are flimsy or will tear apart.

The Naked palette also included an Urban Decay Primer Potion. I really like this primer, it's very good quality. It comes in a cute little silver bottle.

A one sided shadow brush is included.

The mirror is small. I wish it were bigger.

Overall Thoughts

The UD Naked palette is wonderful!  I really appreciate a palette I can use everyday and create different looks with. I also like that this palette has warm neural colors that come in shimmery/satin finishes (except buck and naked which are matte finshes). The colors are very pigmented and fallout is minimal. This palette is a great addition to my makeup collection!
