The Simple Things In Life: Winter Edition

Hello Everyone!

A few months ago I wrote a list of my simple things in life. You can read that post HERE. Today I going to write a follow up Winter edition.

- Drink hot chocolate

Don't you love the value pack?! This should last me for a while lol.

- Drink hot lemon tea

Another value pack! Tea is an essential for me year round because my allergies/sinus issues cause me to have chronic throat aches sometimes.

- Burn scented candles

This candle smells wonderful!

- Buy yarn to make Winter accessories and
  blankets.

A blanket I made for one of my mom's friends for Christmas

An infinity scarf I made my mom for Christmas

- Eat soup or make homemade soup

- Watch snow fall (when it snows in
  the south)

- Take a nap

- Snuggle under a warm blanket

This pic may look familiar because I showed it in my birthday post. Remember when I mentioned I was sick with a cold on my birthday/Christmas? Perfect time to stay warm under my crochet blanket lol.

- Take a long hot bubble bath

What are some of the simple things in life you enjoy during the Winter?

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I love this post Pilar! I made homemade soup last night and it was so good because it was like 5 degrees out where I live, and I was also snuggling under blankets haha!! And biting candles totally gives the house a warm and cozy feeling.
I also love to burn my fireplace when it's super cold out. I don't use it very often because it racks up my gas and electric bill LOL!

LOL I meant burind candles. I do not bite them. Why doesn't my phone auto correct all my spelling errors

The simple things in life make life so much fun! I burn candles and I make homemade soup during the Winter too. Burning candles is so peaceful! Great post!

Thank you! Lol usually my auto correct spells words I wasn't trying to write! I knew what you meant though. You know when I wrote this post I was thinking I wanted to make some homemade soup lol. I love fireplaces, especially on really cold days! I've really made use of burning my candles lately they smell so nice! I think I saw you got Cinnamon Frosting as a Christmas gift, if so how do you like it? I like mine but it smells like Quaker Cinnamon and Apple Oatmeal rather than Cinnamon Frosting lol

Thank you! I feel a sense of peace when I burn candles too!

I love these kind of posts, they really do lift my mood. I agree with all of your points. Hot chocolate, scented candles (my current obsession is vanilla cookie.. mmmmmm), home made soup, snuggling under blankets and reading by the fireplace are my favourite things to do when the temperature drops outside :)

I agree reading posts like this lift my mood too! They're fun to read! Vanilla Cookie sounds like it smell nice as a candle! The temperature is supposed to be really cold this week, so I know I engage in most of the things I listed!

I'm doing all of that Pilar! I love hot chocolate and tea. I'm using a crochet blanket a co worker made for me awhile back. So nice and snuggly! HaHaHa My mom made some homemade chicken noodle soup. Soup tastes so good this time of year. Stay warm!

Aww, this is such a lovely post, Pilar. I agree with burning scented candles and long bath even though I haven't managed to enjoy a bath recently because my 8 months old kept wanting to jump in with me. LOL!

Thank you! Yes it is! I absolutely love hot chocolate and burning candles is nice too! I know a few people don't really care for tea lol. I prefer it with lemon hot or cold.

Thank you! These things are perfect to do this week especially since the South is so cold right now! I love how snuggly crochet blankets can be! Homemade chicken soup is so yummy! I really wish I would have a made some instead I have to settle for Campbell's Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup. It still tastes pretty good though lol! You stay warm as well!
