Derma E New Eczema Relief Cream

Hello Everyone!

* Disclaimer: This post contains PR Samples provided by Derma E for review purposes. I would like to thank Derma E for sending these products. All opinions are 100% my own. Product
 information is courtesy of dermae.com

Today I'm going to discuss Derma E's new Eczema Relief Cream. The New Eczema cream is replacing the Psorzema Cream.

· Neem Leaf Extract: Soothes to help reduce the appearance of redness.

· Burdock Root Extract: Rich in Vitamins A and C, to help moisturize and calm dry skin.

· Bearberry Extract: Rich in antioxidants to help soothe and nourish skin.

This antioxidant-rich formula absorbs easily into skin and gently helps to calm and soothe hot, irritated skin. This moisturizing formula does not contain steroids, coal tars or pine tars.

Derma E's Psorzema Cream has been a favorite moisturizer for the eczema on my elbows for years, so I was curious to try the new Doctor Approved Eczema Relief Cream. As mentioned in the beginning of the post, the New Eczema Relief Cream is a replacement for the Psorzema Cream. You can still use the new cream for both Psoriasis and Eczema.  I've discussed that I have issues with eczema on my elbows since I was little.

I sometimes experience a burning sensation due to dryness, but thankfully no cracked skin. I started using the Eczema Relief Cream about a week ago and I've been using the cream everyday once in the morning (after my shower) and once at night (after my shower). I like that the results feel instant. Moisture is one of the key elements to reduce discomfort from eczema. This eczema relief cream is works well for my skin. During the recent extreme cold temperatures this cream has kept my elbows moisturized and not greasy. This cream is also fragrance free. I'm glad this is a fragrance free product because perfumed scented products tend to irritate the eczema on my elbows. This formula is also soothing to my skin. If your familiar with my reviews for Derma E, the brand promotes clean beauty and their products are vegan. Having issues with eczema,  I pay close attention to the ingredients in the skincare products that I use.

A few years before I started using the Psorzema Cream, eczema treatment creams could be expensive, but the old Derma E Psorzema Cream and now the new Eczema Relief Cream are affordable drugstore products. I haven't seen the new cream on the site yet, but since this cream is the replacement.  I'm assuming it will be $19.99....DISCLAIMER: I will update this information as soon as I have the correct price if this is price is wrong. Overall I really love the new Eczema Relief Cream and I highly reccomend trying this cream if you have psoriasis or eczema.

March is Women's History Month

Hello Everyone!

I'm sure that most of you know that March is  Women's History Month. Being a woman myself, I'm glad there is a month that recognizes  women and their contributions. Women's History Month also focuses on issues that women face in general such as various injustices, and monetary wages etc.

There are so many women that I admire. My mom tops the list. She is such an inspiration to me. I she has shown me how to be a strong, independent, and courageous woman. These are traits that I hope to instill in my own children someday. Another woman I admire is Mariska Hargitay. She is best known for playing Captain Olivia Benson on the long running show Law and Order SVU. Her character constantly fights for victims and women's rights. Did you know that Mariska Hargitay also is an advocate for women's rights outside of her character on Law and Order?

Everyone has a story, here is some of my story. I have shared various elements of my life on my blog over the years.

- I'm a believer of God...the almighty

- Im a daughter... to wonderful mother
A Mother's Day Message For My Mom

- Im a woman... that knows my worth and works hard towards my goals

- I'm a friend...that shows my friends I care.

- I'm a suvivor of domestic violence...and I never
  looked back

- I'm a mental health advocate...who lives with
 anxiety and depression
May is Mental Health Awareness Month

In addition to Women's History Month, Sunday is International Women's Day. As you recognize the contributions of women etc, don't forget to celebrate yourself :)

Current Skincare Organization

Hello Everyone!

Today I wanted to share my current Skincare Organization Setup. I had a few people ask me on Instagram about my skincare set up, so I decided to do a post about it.

For current skincare organization I use Muji Drawers I purchased these drawers years ago. They're pretty study, and the depth is good for my products. I just wish these Muji Drawers were a little longer in length. This works for now, but eventually I would like to get more acrylic drawers that are longer.

On the top of my organizer are cleansers, hydrating primer, and  face oils. I typically use products from Derma E, Clinique, Zoya, and Pixi Beauty.

I removed one of my smaller drawers to place my face masks inside. Removing the drawer gave me more room for these items.

The second smaller drawer contains moisturizers, serums, and face mists from Derma E and Evian Spray.

In the first large drawer contains more cleansers , scrubs, and tube mud masks from Drunk Elephant, Derma E, and Pixi Beauty.

The second drawer contains moisturizers, creams, serums, hydrating gel, and sunscreen from Derma E, Pixi Beauty, and Drunk Elephant.

The last drawer is where I keep most of essential skincare creams for dry or problematic skin issues that I may experience. I used products from Palmer's, Dove, Elf, and Zoya.

I have normal to oily skin, so I use different skincare products as needed. Before I use makeup, I try to make sure that my skin is healthy. Healthy skin is important in general.

Happy Skincare Saturday!

Snow Maybe?

Hello Everyone!

The weather has been all over the place in South Carolina. One day it's hot and humid, but this past week it's been cold and rainy. I heard on the news the news yesterday that some areas of South Carolina may get snow. A small chance of snow, but still a chance for snow.

It's been rainy and cold here lately, but here's a beautiful sunset over Lake Murray last week. If you remember, I mentioned that Lake Murray is one of my peaceful places. Look at that sunset, isn't it gorgeous?

Is it ever too cold for a milshake? A cold milkshake on a cold day? Yes please lol :) Arby's ran out whipped cream, that's why there's minimal whipped cream.
I recently tried an Arby's Vanilla Milkshake, and it's quickly become my now favorite occasional treat. Notice that I said occasional treat!

Winter Hair Wash Day Routine: Feat. Curls Blueberry Bliss Collection

Hello Everyone!

* Disclaimer: This posts contains PR Samples from Curls. Thank you Curls for sending these products for review. All opinions are 100% my own. Product and brand information provided by curls.biz

During the Winter, I try to take good care of my hair. My hair is frizzy, so TLC is needed to prevent dryness and breakage during these colder months. Today I'm going to share my current Winter Wash Day Routine feat. Curls Blueberry Bliss Collection. If you haven't checked out my review for this collection, CLICK HERE

Before I start my wash day routine, I gather my essential products for my hair.
- Reparative Hair Wash
- Reparative Hair Mask (see below)
- Reparative Leave In Conditioner
- Control Jelly
- Blueberry & Mint Tea Scalp Treatment

I haven't washed my hair in two weeks. My hair isn't that dirty, but I like to really lather my hair if i skip a week washing my hair. I used a little extra shampoo this time when I washed my hair. I love using this shampoo because the formula doesn't strip or make my hair feel dry.

After I rinse the shampoo out of my hair I use the hair clamps to part my hair into sections and add the hair mask onto my hair. I usually let the hair mask stay on my hair for about 5 to 10 minutes and then I rinse my hair.

While my hair is still damp, I add leave in conditioner. My hair is thick, but this leave in conditioner is very moisturizing so I don't have to add a lot to my hair.

To lock in moisture I oiled my scalp with this blueberry & Mint Tea Scalp Treatment.  This oil is great to use relieve an itchy scalp. This oil also helps prevents my hair from breakage.

To finish my hair I use the control jelly to control my edges and to help give my hair volume. I'm still on a journey to get my hair healthier so I skipped doing a twist or braid out. I went for an afro. I forgot to take a picture,(see last month's photo, my hair looks similar) but I love how voluminous and defined my hair looks!

My Thoughts

As I used this shampoo, my hair felt cleansed and moisturized, but the shampoo left my hair feeling a little dry. Thankfully the shampoo didn't dry out my hair completely, but it did make it frizzy.

My Thoughts

Finally a hair mask in Jar! A girl with thick curly hair dream! If you have frizzy/dry hair then you know your hair is prone to breakage. The hair wash made my hair frizzy, but this hair mask help reduce the frizz. I've used this hair mask twice so far, but it's very moisturizing and hydrating on my hair. I noticed that there was minimal breakage and I was able to detangle my hair with ease. I'm looking forward to seeing how my hair will progress as I continue to use this product.

Description

Looking for the perfect product for the perfect twist/braid out? Look no further....Blueberry Bliss Twist N Shout Cream adds the sheen, moisture and definition you crave.

My Thoughts

I've done both a twist/braid out on my hair with this twist and shout cream. The cream lives up to it's claims. I noticed that my hair had sheen, moisture, and definition; however, my hair did look a little frizzy. I'm not to worry about the frizz. Even though my hair is still frizzy, it's not as frizzy like before I started using this cream.

Description

Define, Defrizz and Hold Your CURLS in one snap! Your New Go to Styler... Formulated with organic blueberry extract, and raw castor oil, Blueberry Bliss Curl Control Jelly will define, defrizz and hold your curls in place.

My Thoughts

I like to use this control Jelly on my hair after a wash and go. I used to hate doing a wash a go because other products would leave my hair looking and feeling frizzy. The control jelly keeps my curls defined and my hair isn't frizzy! My curls looks so voluminous!

Description

Formulated with organic blueberry extract, argan oil (proven to encourage hair growth) mango and shea butter, argan oil, Blueberry Bliss Curl Control Paste smooths and slicks down unruly edges, creating the most luxurious sheen! Use this super sculpting pomade to enhance, define and hold your curls.

My Thoughts

The paste has to be my favorite out of all the products! The scent smells so fruity! My edges are controlled when I use this paste. This paste gives my hair sheen without looking or feeling greasy. My curls hold throughout the day. By the end of the day my hair still looks fresh.

Description

Formulated with certified organic blueberry seed oil, corn mint and coconut oil proven to enhance hair growth, soothe and refresh dry, itchy scalp, and relieve itching. NO sulfates, silicones, parabens, artificial oils, or fragrances.

My Thoughts

The scent of mint hair products is starting to grow on me. This scalp treatment does smell like mint, but the blueberry scent helps balance the both scents. I love using this oil on my hair because it helps reduce dryness and my hair feels so moisturized.
