Crocheting Project: Half Double Crochet Ribbed Scarf with Fringe

Hello Everyone!

Disclaimer:
My apologies for the missing pictures. My pictures were accidentally deleted off my blog. Please Refer to my Instagram account miss_pilar to view the pictures (or some of the pictures) that were deleted.

Here's my latest addition to my scarves that I've already posted: a half double crochet ribbed scarf with fringe. I worked on this throughout Labor Day weekend and I finished on Labor Day. To give it a little flare, I added three rows of square holes before I fringed the scarf. Since it's ribbed the scarf feels super warm. Click crocheting support to view the matching hat :)

I took this picture for a better view of the ribbed pattern and the square holes in the scarf.
This picture is more of the true color of the scarf (soft navy)

Okay, I am in love with this scarf. So is my mom. we both think that with your jewelry and crocheting you could make a living off of it. you do professional work. can't wait to see what you do next. hopefully gloves maybe or a sweater.

Hey kris, thanks! Tell your mom I said thanks too! One of these days I'm going to make some stuff to sell. People are surprised I've never sold any of my items lol. The the items I make now have sentimental value. It would be great to make a profit off my work :) I'm glad you and your mom like everything I've made since I started back in December. I want to make a sweater so bad! I said I'm going to challenge myself to do so. It would be great if I can get around to it before the end of the year lol. I may try gloves next that seems like a cool project to give a try.

Oh I would love to learn how to crochet! Is it difficult? The scarf is just lovely! I'm having my moms best friend do a gorgeous crocheted infinity scarf for me. If I could do it I would go to town making everything and anything :P
Beautiful work!! You should do like what my moms' friend does and get a booth at a crafty store or a craft show and sell some scarves, hats, or even pot holders. My moms' friend does well doing that :]

Thanks! Crocheting can be a difficult at first, but I tell people you have to be patient as you learn. When I found myself frustrated when I first started, I would put my work down until I could fully focus on it. I really need to get to making that beginner tutorial video to help those of you who want to learn etc. I will get around to making the video :) when you get your scarf you should post it, I would love to see it! Infinity scarves are so nice! I probably will look into selling my work once I get some more items made. That's a good idea, a craft booth!

Thanks for your detailed reply! I would love to see a beginner tutorial!! Maybe that will get me started :]
And I will definitely post the scarf when it comes... she finished it faster than I thought :D
And definitely think about a craft booth! I even saw people selling hand crocheted items at our art crawl where local artist display their work!

No problem! I can't wait to see your scarf! I've been drafting ideas for the beginner tutorial video. My hope is that when I can get it made, people can be encouraged to learn or continue to learn the basics. I love art, the art crawl sounded like it was interesting. That's so cool people were selling crocheted items!
