Top 10 Drugstore Favorites Collab

Hello Everyone!

Disclaimer:
My apologies for the missing pictures. My pictures were accidentally deleted off my blog. Please Refer to my Instagram account miss_pilar to view the pictures (or some of the pictures) that were deleted.

Today I have a collaboration post for you. I was asked by my friend Ashley if I wanted to participate with her and a few other bloggers to compose my favorite top 10 drugstore products. I love these kind of posts because you can find great deals on makeup in the drugstore and a lot of these products work just as good as high end brands. This is also a way for us bloggers to support each other and explore other blogs.

Side Note: I'm so glad that I packed my makeup in a neatly fashion before I moved, it made it that much easier to find all the things I needed lol

These products aren't in any particular order.

1. NYX Butter Lipstick

The name says it all "butter" I only have four of these lipsticks, but they're so easy to apply and last for hours.

2. NYX Butter Gloss

This butter gloss is very impressive! When I started using these glosses last year I was very surprised that they're so pigmented!

3. NYX Eyeshadow Base in white

I love to use the base, especially for bright color eyeshadow because the colors really pop and there isn't much creasing throughout the day.

4. Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in Clear

I use this clear mascara on my brows and on those days I don't feel like wearing black mascara. Since I have long lashes many people think I'm wearing black mascara when I wear this lol.

5. Covergirl Bombshell Volume by Lashblast Mascara

I know that this mascara caused a lot of buzz on the Internet at one point about difficult removal, but I haven't had any issues with it. To be on the safe when I first started using this Mascara, I use coconut oil as a eye makeup remover, and it comes right off.

6. Maybelline The Nudes Palette

This is a great nude palette to add to any makeup collection. The shades blend well together and wear well thought the day. (I have a full review on this palette coming soon)

7.  Nivea Lip Balm
Typically I use MAC Prep+Prime underneath matte lipsticks, but this works just as well! For some of my matte lipsticks, this actually works better. Besides this is a good lip balm to have around in general.

8. Ponds' Wet Cleansing Towelettes

I like to buy these travel sized Ponds Towelettes because they don't dry out as quickly as the regular sized pack. These get most of my makeup off before I cleanse my face. I usually keep a pack in my makeup bag as well.

9. Cetaphil DermaControl Oil Moisturizer

This moisturizer isn't only good to use for skin care of your face, it also is dual product that can be used as a face primer. Cetaphil sent this to me last year for a product review and it has quickly become my new favorite face primer.

10. NYX Lip Pencil

As you probably can tell from this post, I really like NYX products. As much as I love MAC I find these NYX Lip Pencils are a great alternative if you rather not spend $15.00 on a MAC pencil. These lip pencils are very pigmented, non drying, and apply easy on the lips.

I only have one NYX lip butter lipstick from ipsy and the shade was just okay on me, I really need to try other shades from the range. Great favourites, Pilar and 100% agree with the Nivea lip balm, it's brilliant!

I love Nyx lip products!! They are so amazing and great quality. I have that Cover Girl mascara but haven't tried it out yet.

Pilar said...

I received my Cover Girl Mascara for free, but I held out on using it because of all the issues I heard associated with the mascara. I don't find anything wrong with it so far. I use coconut oil to remove this mascara and it comes right off!

Great collection you have. Really need to get that pallet love those colors. Question on the lipstick. Does it come off when you drink or if a bottle or use a straw to drink bc I don't like lipsticks that come off like that bc then it gets into your mouth and you can taste it. And does it come in a lot of colors.

Pilar said...

Thanks! The lipstick does come off slighlty, but not terribly, I doesn't get in your mouth. A trick to prevent lipstick from getting in your mouth for future references is stick your index finger in your mouth and take it out. I haven't had any issues with lipstick in my mouth or teeth, but many people say that prevents it. Yes, this lipstick comes in a lot of colors. Hope this info helps!
