Thicker Fuller Hair Weightless Volumizing Hair Spray and LA LOOKS Absolute Styling Extreme Sport Gel

Hello Everyone!

Disclaimer: This post is sponsored by Thicker Fuller Hair and LA LOOKS. All opinions are 100% my own.

I'm always looking for ways to tame my frizzy and uncontrollable hair, so when I was given an opportunity to test and review a hairspray by Thicker Fuller Hair and a hair gel by LA LOOKS I was curious to see if these products would work for my hair. I want to thank both companies  for sending these products for me to review.

My Thoughts

Let's start with the pros. I like how this hairspray is lightweight and lightly scented. There isn't an underlying chemical scent that I've noticed in some hairsprays. My hair is already thick, but I noticed this hairspray seemed to give my hair a thicker fuller appearance. My hair has a lot of volume when I use this hairspray. Now for the cons I noticed that my hair was really dry a few hours after I used this hairspray. I tried to reduce the amount of hairspray I used the next time I used it on my hair and my hair didn't feel as dry and my hair felt softer. I'm thinking I may have used to much hairspray the first time. I really couldn't tell a shiny look to my hair so that was a little disappointing. Overall this hairspray was ok. I plan on using this hairspray, but now I know that I can't use to much on my hair if I don't want my hair to feel dry and brittle.

My Thoughts

So I don't play any sports lol, but nonetheless this hair gel does hold well against humidity and heat. I know its Fall, but in the South we've experienced some warm days a few weeks ago. I thought that would be a perfect time to wear this gel in my hair. I don't typically wear gel on daily basis, but this is a gel worked well for hairstyles that I wear. I like how this gel doesn't make my hair feel dry out like some gels I've used in the past. I also like how this gel is alcohol free which is likely why my hair doesn't feel dry since alcohol is known for causing dryness. Overall I think this is a really good gel to use on my hair.

I've always looking to a good hairspray but i wouldn't want one that made my hair feel more dry! I definitely could use the volume though lol!! I haven't used gel in a long time, but I to use it to scrunch my hair when I was younger. Great review Pilar, thanks for sharing your thoughts on these!

Well the gel seems like a hit! With the humidity we have, this would really help. Too bad about the hair spray! It's great that it volumizes, but the cons outweigh it. Who wants dry hair afterwards?

Thanks! The volume is really nice, but my hair felt so dry! I noticed when I reduced the amount of hairspray I used, my hair didn't feel as dry. That was still kind of disappointing though!

The gel works well on my hair so I was pleased with that product. I just couldn’t believe hoe dry my hair felt when I first used the hairspray! My hair is already frizzy which can cause my hair to feel dry so that wasn't good that the hairspray made my hair feel dryer!

I've used to see this gel all the time in Dollar General when I was a teenager, but this was the first time I used this gel. It really does work!

I totally understand how you feel about the hairspray making your hair feel dry. There's a styling cream that I've been using that makes my hair look great, but it also makes it feel dry. I don't know if I can get past it to keep using it.

That's where my conflict comes for me... to use or not to use. I'm not giving up on the hairspray just yet. I just have to remember not to use too much of it so my hair won't feel so dry!
