BH Cosmetics and Colourpop Goodies

Hello Everyone!

I recently made a few purchases on BH Cosmetics and Colourpop and these are the goodies that I ordered. You may notice that some of the Colourpop items I showed on my Instagram. I'm only going to show the items from BH Cosmetics and review them at a later date and I'm going to give my first impressions and swatches for Colourpop. This post is a little long! Enjoy :)

Carli Bybel 14 Color Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette

I originally wanted this palette when it was released last year, but it kept selling out! I went ahead and ordered this palette while it was on sale for $12.95, but now I think this palette retails for $14.95

I can't wait to play with this palette, especially for the Summer!

Shaaanxo 18 Color Eyeshadow & Lipstick Palette

I've had my eye on this palette since it's recent release. I really like how it's a two sided palette. One side are the shadows and the other side has lipsticks. I also sent this palette to

one of my besties Ashley as an early birthday present!

My First Impressions about Colorpop

I absolutely love this brand! Not only are the prices affordable, Colourpop has great quality products. If you follow me on social media you already know that I have a crazy lipstick obsession and love Colourpop's Liquid Lipsticks. I don't find the Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks that drying. That's why hesitated on making a purchase from this company because I read so many reviews stating how drying the lipsticks were. I did notice that some seemed a little more drying than others, but it wasn't to the point that the lipsticks felt uncomfortable on my lips. These lipsticks also are kiss proof. I've these lipsticks all day and I didn't have to reapply after eating or drinking. The only time my lips felt  dry is if I've worn these lipsticks all day and I mean from morning until late at night. I also noticed that some of the matte lipsticks seemed a little dryer than others. Has anyone else noticed that? I don't really apply a lip balm since I don't have an issue with the formula, but the times that I have used a lip balm my lipstick still wore most of the day without any issues.

As for the Satin Liquid Lipticks, I love them just as much as the Matte lipsticks. These aren't as kiss proof and I did have to reapply during the day. I still think this is a good formula and it feels so silky when I apply these lipsticks on my lips. I haven't worn any lip balm with these lipsticks because the formula isn't drying . I forgot to mention this when I discussed the matte lipsticks, but both have great pigmentation which I really like!

I've been into wearing eyeliner more this year, so I figured it would be a good idea to pick up a gel eyeliner. I got a basic black eyeliner and I really like this gel liner and it's super easy to use. I think gel is the perfect name for these eyeliners because this liner glides so smoothly across my lids and it makes creating a winged liner simple as well!

Last but not least, the Super Shock Shadows. Omgosh, these shadows are simply amazing! I typically don't make these kind of judgements until I have created a makeup look and wear the shadows for the day. I'm going to go with my first impression here because when I swatched the shadows they were so pigmented and I left the swatches on my arm for a few hours and I didn't notice any fading. These shadows feel so buttery and soft! I can't wait to create a few makeup looks using my new shadows!

Overall, I'm very pleased with my first purchases from Colourpop, and I also like it didn't take very long to get my items.
