Product Info
Lippie Primer allows for a smoothes application of lipstick and Lip Pencil and will enhance the wear of any lip product. Our primer contains Itty bitty spherical beads that fill in lines making lips instantly smooth and plump! It also contains Mango, avocado, and shea butter for moisture and Vitamin E to soothe your lips
Application Tips
Apply the Lippie Primer onto bare lips. Don't forget the outer edge of the lip life-will prevent featuring! Lips will instantly feel smooth and moisturized, creating a perfect base for any lipstick without diluting the pigmentation of your lip product!
My Thoughts
The winner here is MAC Prep + Prime. If you're looking for a lip primer that provides moisture I would go with MAC. Don't get me wrong the Lippie Primer is alright, but in my opiniion it doesn't provide as much moisture as the Prep + Prime. When choosing a lip primer, I like to put it to the test. I wear it alone to see how the lip primer will last. The MAC Prep + Prime leaves my lips feeling moisturized for at 5 or 6 hours before reapplication unlike Colourpop Lippie Primer last about 3 hours before reapplication.
If you wear Colourpop's UML Liquid Lipstick, you probably have noticed that some of the lipsticks are drier than others. For the really dry liquid lipsticks, I use MAC Prep + Prime to add extra moisture. One of the claims with the Lippie Primer that I find to be false is the the plumper lips effect. My lips look the same after application.
I know that $17.50 may seem a little pricey to pay for a lip primer, but quality of the product is worth the price.

I'm a MAC fan. Quality is everything. Too bad it did not live up to the lip plumping expectations. Great review.
Thanks for writing this detailed review, it's very helpful! Too bad the Lippie Primer doesn't provide the hydratration you were looking for, but I agree quality is so important!
Interesting beauty products. We keep in touch. xx
Will love to try mac primer
I never really started using a lip primer, it seems like an unnecessary extra step. But then again I thought the same about face primers and here I am loving them, so I might change my mind.

Good review!
I've never tried any lip primers before so thanks for this introduction to a few. The MAC one sounds really good.
I've never tried a lip primer before. I definitely like to use something moisturizing if the lipstick I'm using can be drying though. That's good to know the Mac one is worth the money. Thanks for comparing these Pilar!
Great post!! :)

Good to know--I'll def skip CP then and go for MAC!
Glad to hear your thoughts on these! I tried a Too Faced lip primer years ago. It was one to really make your lipstick last. It did work, but it was also really drying. Glad to hear the MAC is moisturizing!
Thanks! MAC lipsticks and Lip Primer are my one of my favorite brands. I think if Colourpop reformulates the lip primer the primer could be better.
Thanks! Sometimes you may have to pay a little extra, but if the quality on a product is good the money will be well spent!
Thanks!
It's a good product!
I don't always use a lip primer when I wear lipstick. I find wearing one with Matte lipsticks help the lipsticks wear longer and more feel more comfortable on my lips.
Thanks!
You're welcome! The MAC lipsticks primer works so well!
I really think you would like the MAC Prep+Prime especially using with any brand of Matte lipsticks to add mositure!
Thanks!
Yes, definitely go for MAC!
See that's my major complaint with CP,the lack of moisture! If you're looking to add more mositure go for MAC!
