Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette Review

Hello Everyone!

Now that I finally got my hands on Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette (thanks to my wonderful mama) I can share my thoughts about the palette. I think it's kind of funny that everyone else was able to find these palettes except me! If it's a beauty product out there I can usually find it! Now on the review!

Swatches without Flash

Pros
- Small and convenient
- Decent Pigmentation (for the darker shades and a
  few of the light shades)
- Budget Friendly
- Easy to blend
- Gorgeous shimmer and matte shades
- 2 sponge application brushes in this palette that
   work well
- Minor Fallout

 Cons
- Lacks Pigmentation (for some of the light shades)
- No Mirror

My Thoughts

This palette also has a small amount of fallout and the colors are so easy to blend. That is a major plus because I hate eyeshadow palettes that have a lot of fallout. I really have a love for this palette, but the pigmentation could be better quality. The darker shades show up well. Some of the lighter shades show up, but just like the other three Maybelline palettes I reviewed, you should use a really good eyeshadow primer. So far the only eyeshadow primers I find that works well with these palettes are the NYX Eyeshadow Base in White, and the NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Milk. Using white eyeshadow bases helps bring these colors out well. The color fading isn't too much of an issue for me, it's primarily the some of light shades that can have some fading after about three hours.  I really love the colors in this palette and they're so shimmery with the exception for a few matte shades which I also like. I definitely can see the resemblance between this palette and the Naked 3 palette, some of the colors are similar. I think Maybelline did an excellent job with color selection for The Blushed Nudes Palette and even if you don't like this palette, it only runs about $10.00. This palette has a few cons, but overall I was really pleased with this palette. I didn't get a chance to write the details for my makeup look using this palette for this post, but I will have that up for my next post!

Now that I have all four palettes, you can check out my other reviews in the links below

I have this palette, and I completely agree with you. I love the colors, but some of the lighter shades could be more pigmented. All of the colors do blend together nicely, though. I'm so glad you were able to get your hands on it.

I know! A few lighter shades were a bit disappointing, but I still think it's a good palette. I just wish Maybelline would improve the quality of the colors. It's so strange to me because I have other quad eyeshadow palettes from Maybelline and the colors are very pigmented! Ive noticed that some of the colors in these new 12 color palettes lack pigmentation. I really like how well the colors blend together!

Thanks for the suggestion! I have MAC Painterly and Soft Orchre paint pots, but they really don't help the colors pop lol.

The colors are pretty! Pilar, YOU are the one that taught me about white base for eyes (to make color pop). I thought that was so neat! I haven't tried it yet, but I am. This will help some of my problematic shadows to work. So thanks!

I'm thinking about buying this palette! I also use a white eyeshadow base for colors that lack pigmentation. Thanks for including swatches! Great review!

Thanks! I'm glad my tip for using a white eyeshadow base works for you! White is my go to base when shadows act stubborn lol!

This palette looks so pretty! I've thought about getting it but held back because of the similarities to the naked 3!

I think the Blushed is a good dupe for the Naked 3 palette! The colors are so similar!

Hmm, eyeshadows that are too pigmented scares me because I'm a novice with eyeshadow application so I might enjoy this palette. Will need to pick it up.

I used to be afraid of pigmented eyeshadows too! I'm not a MUA, but with practice and using a light hand with the shades, I became more comfortable to use pigmented eyeshadows. I think you would like this palette since it's not overly pigmented!
