Fourth of July

 Hello Everyone!

Happy 4th of July! I spent most of today resting and cooking dinner.

I made homemade chili dogs and fries for dinner.

Homemade Apple Pie 🥧 🍎 Fun Facts: I've been making homemade apple pie since I was 15 years old 🙂 This is my first time making a lattice top crust.

I'm so proud of my lattice work on the top of my pie looks. As I mentioned this was my lattice top crust pie.

Can't forget the vanilla ice cream!

It's been raining for the past couple of days. Not all day rain, but rain and thunderstorms. I literally took this picture earlier this evening before it started storming. How was your holiday?

Pilar, I am drooling over your homemade chili dog, it looks delicious! And that apple pie! You did a great job baking it. I think it looks more festive with the lattice top crust. Wow, you've been baking pies since you were 15! The neighborhood looks pretty after a rain. I like that picture a lot. I hope you had a nice 4th of July, Pilar.

Looks like you had a lovely and delicious day Pilar. We don't celebrate but it was nice to have an off day especially on a Monday.

Thanks Sheri! I made my first homemade pie in Food Science Class (Home Ec) at 15, then I used my own recipe. I've been making homemade apple pie ever since! I did have a nice 4th. It was quiet, but festive. Have a great weekend my friend!
