My Life in November 2018

Hello Everyone!

It's time for another monthly post! Can you believe December is almost here? November was a busy month with preparing for the holidays in addition to daily life.

Thanksgiving makeup

I received so much love for these photos! I guess green is an acceptable color for Thanksgiving!

Makeup Free

I started November at South Carolina ENT (ears, nose, throat) for my initial doctors appointment. I still have to go back for allergy testing to try and determine what is causing my allergy and sinus issues. Fingers crossed!

On this night it was so cold, and I made a cup of hot chocolate.

I'm going to miss the Fall decor

Always Thankful

Sweet potato pie in the making

I love my mama's sweet potato pie! Thankgsgiving was nice. I forgot to take any pictures of dinner lol.

Until next year Fall decor

Some of the Christmas Decorations I started taking out the storage room outside.

Organic Red potatoes with garlic, herb, and parmesan seasoning

Mini Skincare Haul. Thanks to Tree Hut and Summers Eve for sending the products! This body scrub from Tree Hut smells so good! If you read my blog you know that I love Tree Hut's skincare products, especially their scrubs. Summers Eve also sent over a new feminine wash, and smells amazing! A soft citrus fruity scent. I know there has been some issues with the concern of PH Balance being affected. This feminine wash is pH balanced and free of any dyes or parbens.

Thanks Derma E for the skincare goodies! I've already written a review for Radiant Toner, which I love by the way! Here's the link for that

I've been using the Sage and Lavender Face Oil for the past week and it's been working well on my skin. It's been so cold here this week and this oil keeps my skin moisturized and rejuvenated. I know lavender has great benefits for the skin, but I'm new to using the Sage. Both scents mixed together makes a wonderful scented face oil! Derma E products always keeps my skin looking and feeling healthy

It kinda makes me feel a certain way that one of the Mall's in my city is virtually empty. Sure they have a few stores left, but it just seems so empty. I really love this Mall at Christmas time because it's so pretty. The weekend before Thanksgiving I was there and took this picture. I'm glad that this Mall still has beauriful decorations for the holiday season.

Picking up a few essentials at Target.

I'm getting started a little later than normal. The plan was to at least have the Tree up (not decorated) before Thanksgiving week, but I was so busy last week! I started decorating on Nov. 28th

Wishing everyone a very happy and magical December!

Chique Pro & Rose Gold Brushes

Hello Everyone!

This post contains PR Samples provided Chique Makeup Tools for review purposes. I would like to thank Chique Makeup Tools for sending these products. All opinions are 100% my own. Product information provided by chiquetools.com

I love makeup brushes! As you know makeup brushes can be pricey.  When I shop for makeup brushes I look for quality, and affordability. That brings me to today's post. I was recently sent a few Chique Pro & Rose Gold brushes.  How gorgeous are these brushes?!

About Chique Makeup Tools

Offering ultimate style and performance while being incredibly affordable. So unbelievable, you have to try for yourself. This is the same company that makes Moda Brushes.

As with any brush I use, these beauties received a bath before usage. These brushes are so durable! I didn't experience any shedding of the brush bristles and drying time was pretty good as well.  I usually wash my brushes at night and by morning they're dry.

I love the packaging for both the Chique Pro & Rose Gold Brushes. I think rose gold/gold brushes look so elegant and chic.

Chique Pro Brushes

I've been wanting to try flat brushes for the longest time. I can see why flat brushs have been popular for the past few years. These brushes apply my makeup so well, and the bristles are really soft.

I love how there's a description of each brush and it's function on the back of the package.

Rose Gold Brushes

Like I mentioned before I love rose gold/gold. I think those colors are so pretty, and these brushes look elegant on my vanity table. The Chique Rose Gold brushes also have descriptions and each brushes function on the back of package. As you can see below, the names of each brush is on the brush itself.

I've been using these brushes for about a week and I have nothing but positive things to say about these brushes. Lately I've been trying to use more vegan based beauty products. Not vegan foods, just some vegan beauty products. These makeup brushes are 100% vegan! I received my brushes as PR, but I haven't seen them in stores or at least not yet. Hopefully these brushes will hit stores soon if they're not already in stores! Even if the brushes are sold online, you're still getting a good deal. These brushes are very affordable and great quality. You can get some brushes as low as $2.00. Whether you're a makeup lover or new to makeup in general these brushes make a great addition to your makeup brush collection or MUA kit. Also, if your starting your Christmas list, these brushes make great gifts for others or yourself! As a gift to my followers, use my code PILAR to receive a 10% discount for your purchase!

Have you tried Chique Makeup Tools?

Pre Black Friday Haul

Hello Everyone!

Last Saturday I went to a few stores with my mom. If you follow me on Instagram, you already saw that I did a pre black Friday Haul last weekend. Don't get me wrong I love a good sale, but I usually skip Black Friday. It's so crowded in stores! I'm usually somewhere eating a piece of leftover homemade sweet potato pie and gathering Christmas decorations to put the tree up. To everyone going shopping, have fun, and be safe!

Ulta has been having amazing sales lately. How did I only go in Ulta last Saturday night to get one thing, and come out with numerous items?! Lately I've been on the Morphe Bandwagon and the sales associate sold me on the Morphe 35F Fall Into Frost. The colors are so beautiful, and the palette was on sale with an additional $3.50 off. So with a grand total for about $13.60, this beauty came home with me! I'm not going to show the products now since I'll probably do a review hopefully in the near future.

Target Dollar Spot Haul

Since my Christmas/Winter Decor colors are silver, teal, and blue, it's been a challenge to find items at the Dollar Spot. Not to mention one of the local Target's has been horrible about stocking the Dollar Spot. Here are the items I picked up. A few of these items are going to be upcoming DIY projects.

Bath & Body Works Haul

Last weekend Bath & Body Works had their hand soaps for $2.50 each, and I picked up a few. I also got a few free gifts and I've been collecting a few snowflakes. I like the snowflakes much better this year than last year's snowflakes. I'm so glad they have white and red wooden crates for the holidays!

As I mentioned I don't really go Black Friday shopping, but I did get out the house and I went to Big Lots and Hobby Lobby. I'm still in Fall mode and I found the cutest wooden pumpkin easel for only $4.00! Originally priced $16.00. Since I'm putting my Fall decor away this weekend, I'll use this next year.

I also went to Hobby Lobby to get a few more ornaments for the tree. I really love that Hobby Lobby typically has 40% off discounts.

Did you do any Black Friday Shopping this weekend?

Come Along with Me: Christmas at Bath & Body Works

Hello Everyone!

Can you believe tomorrow is Thanksgiving? It's one my favorite times of year, and with that being said, it's also Christmas at Bath & Body Works! Oh how I love this store! I received a bunch of emails asking if I was going to do a come along with me post. The plan was to do this post in October when Bath &Body Works first displayed their Christmas floorset, but life happens and I'm just getting around to doing so :) side note I guess I was able to get one last post on my blog before thanksgiving!

I've shared various of pictures of this Bath & Body Works location. This store is so nostalgic!

Smells like Christmas

Who else likes the red and white wooden crates this year?

A lot of my favorite candles returned, and there are some new candles that smell amazing too!

I think these bathtub displays are so cute!

Thanksgiving Makeup

Hello Everyone!

For this year's Thanksgiving Inspired Makeup I wanted to do something different. Usually I stick with cranberry type looks, but this year I wanted to incorporate green.

For my eye makeup look, I started by using Mac's paint for my base and I SHHH in my crease. I really focused on layering colors in my crease. Next I added Potion on top of SHHH and I blended the two colors. Next, I added Trickery in the Tear Duct and on half of my lid. For the other half of my lid and the Outer V, I used Busted.

- Morphe x Jaclyn Hill The Vault Dark Magic Eyeshadow Palette

- Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

- Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly

- CoverGirl Peacock Flare Mascara
  Waterproof in (795) Jet Black

- Urban Decay Naked Cherry 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Black Market

To finish my eye makeup look I created a winged liner, and a smudge brush to intensify the black liner on my waterline

- CoverGirl Vitalist Healthy Powder in Medium Beige

- Covergirl TruBlend Matte Made Liquid Foundation in (T40) Soft Beige

- Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Concealer in Medium

- Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser

- Urban Decay Naked Cherry Highlight
and Blush Palette

- Milani Rose Powder Blush in Romantic Rose

- Urban Decay De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray

- Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme in
  Adorable

My face products are the listed among all the other products used to create this look. Since so created a Smokey eye look, I went for a soft nude liquid lipstick. After finishing my makeup I used Urban Decay's De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray to keep my makeup looking fresh and to reduce the oil on my face.

I may try to get one more post up before Thanksgiving, but If I don't I will resume posting on Friday November 23rd. I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
