Crocheting Support

Hello Everyone!!

Disclaimer:
My apologies for the missing pictures. My pictures were accidentally deleted off my blog. Please Refer to my Instagram account miss_pilar to view the pictures (or some of the pictures) that were deleted.

I wanted to do a blog on crocheting support. There are some of you out there who are struggling to learn the basics of crocheting. Have no fear…YOU CAN LEARN!!☺ I’m still somewhat a newbie myself, having mastering basic crocheting skills in December 2012. Since then, Im made scarves, blankets, hats, and even a camera case. These are fairly easy projects once you get the basics down. Once you master the basics of crocheting, the possibilities are endless of the things you can make! I plan on making a you tube video soon to help others learn how to crochet and make simple projects. Ill keep everyone posted. Let me know any suggestions, comments, and/or concerns you may have about crocheting and Ill do my best to help☺ Crocheting takes patience, patience, and patience, especially if you’re having a difficult time. As I mentioned previously, once you get the basic down it does get easier☺ Happy Crocheting!!

Here are some of the items I made that I mentioned in the blog…

Scarf and Camera Case

Granny Square Afghan (I made this for my mom for Mother’s day 2013)

Granny Square Blanket

Hats

love the stuff that you have done with crocheting. I am still learning the basic and I need help. I get the basic stitch but I am having trouble starting a new line of stitch. I would love to be able to do a blanket, scarf and a camera holder but for my phone. please let me know when or if you make a video. keep up the good work. hope I become as good as you.

Thanks! So I've noticed thats where many people get stuck...going on the next row. I'm assuming you're talking about the second row. My hope is that I can do a video that won't leave people frustrated with crocheting. I also plan on going slow so people can keep up. You should be able to do all those items made too! It just takes time, keep up with your work you've done so far.

thank you. I have tried to follow other videos online and they just go to fast. With going to the second row, when I tried to do so I have knots or a really big gap. I just don't seem to be able to get it right. but hopefully with your help I will be able to become a crocheting master like you. can't wait to see what you make next. oh question, can the one for the camera be used for a cell phone instead? just wondering. thanks again.

Aww thanks! It sounds like your crocheting too tightly (in regards to the knots) as for the gaps you're probably skipping stitches in the row. In my video, I'll try to show how to avoid doing that. The camera case could be used as cell phone case I suppose, or once you learn the basics you can make a cell phone case that fits your phone. It's pretty simple too!
