Custom Crochet

Hello Everyone!

Today I wanted to do a quick update post. I've been a little M.I.A. this past week since I've been doing a few custom crochet orders. I'm currently still completing orders, but I was able to work on some new blog posts this weekend. Those posts are coming in Febraury :) Here's a few of the crochet projects.

Popcorn Stitch Crochet Beanie. Does the hat look familiar? I made this style of hat last Summer.

I added a pom pom to the hat and made a popcorn stitch scarf to match

Finished product

More supplies to start another crochet project for other customers. After I finish these next orders. I plan on working on my other crafts to sell.

The Sweet Shop Collection see post here

Peach Poppy smells so good! This candles smells more of a sweet authentic peach. I like this much better than Peach Bellini. I need to get back ups!

A few shower gels and  a new rubber ducky.

Happy National Rubber Ducky (January 13th)

Aromatherapy Focus body wash and lotions. I plan on reviewing these products in the future.

Did you get anything during the SAS?

Dry Skincare Routine: Body Edition

Hello Everyone!

Happy MLK Day! Today I wanted to follow up my Dry Skincare Routine Face Edition with a post for my dry skincare routine for my body care. Side Note: This skincare routine is also good to use to prevent and maintain moisturized skin.

Exfoliation!

Even though the weather is colder, that's not an excuse to neglect exfoliating lol. I try to exfoliate my skin with a loofah and a body scrub at least twice a week. I noticed exfoliating on a regular basis actually helps with preventing dry skin.

Body Butter

There's nothing better than a good body butter to get soft mositurized skin. I love that most body butters are thick in texture. I like to use body butters at night.

Body Creams

If I'm not using a body butter, I'll use a body cream. These are also thick in texture and help provide moisturized skin. BABW Magic in the Air and Honolulu Sun are two of my favorite body creams.

Eczema Relief

I've stated on my blog that I have issues with slight eczema on my elbows. It's not that bad, but I do keep my elbows moisturized. Dryness is the only issues I have with eczema. Hydration is key. Cocoa butter usually helps with hydration.

Soft Feet

I keep my feet soft by using a foot file, cocoa butter, and socks. It's simple as that. When I take my bath or shower at night I'll file my feet, and use a generous amount of cocoa butter, and put on a pair of socks. I don't really like to sleep with socks on, but sometimes I'll wear socks to bed and my feet feel so soft in the morning.

Also check out my post from last month for more dry skin products that I'm currently using.

Dry Skincare Routine: Face Edition

Hello Everyone!

The weather here in South Carolina was VERY cold week before last (and the cold weather has returned), and if you're anything like me your skin might feel a little dry. The other day I went to rub my eyes and I realized my skin felt so dry! I don't have dry skin that often, but when I do this is the skincare routine and skincare products that I use. I was undecided if I was going to do a morning or night skincare rohtine, so I went with doing both! Side Note: This skincare routine and skincare products are also good to use to prevent and maintain moisturized skin.

Facial Cleansing

I always cleanse my face in the morning and at night. The products shown above are some of my go to cleasnsers I use at night. The cleansing balm is great for removing makeup and the cleansing oil is great for moisturizing my face.

Use a Clean Washcloth

I use a clean washcloth to rinse off my face.  You should use a clean washcloth to wash your face because a dirty washcloth harbors bacteria.

Use a Gentle Face Exfoliator/ Gentle Face Mask

I haven't come across any harsh feeling exfoliators for my face, but using a soft face exfoliator helps keep my face feeling smooth. If use the charcoal mask twice week then, I'll skip the facial scrub or vice versa.

Face Cream and/or Face Oil

I typically use a face cream before I go to bed to keep my face moisturized throughout the night.  I like to use a face oil during the morning to keep my face moisturized during the day.

Lip Care

Whether my lips feel dry or not, I always try to use a lip balm before I go to bed.  I use different balms,  but my SoftLips Blueberry Pomegranate is my favoirte lip balm. It's so hydrating!

Also check out  my post from last month for more hydrating skincare products that I'm currently using in my skincare routine.

Bath and Body Works Sweet Shop Collection

Hello Everyone!

Last month I was so excited when Bath and Body Works re-released the Sweet Shop Candle Colletion right before Christmas. In 2014 (I think that's the right year), this collection was released and the company decided to bring it back. I didn't get anything the first time around, but I didn't want to make the same mistake twice!

Bath and Body Works Sweet Shop Collection

Pink Bubblegum, Frosted Cupcake, and Lavender Marshmallow

Raspberry Peach Macaron, Honey Cinnamon Crumb Cake, Pineapple Cream Puff

Strawberry Sorbet
*The photos I took in the store were taken during Christmastime. I captured 7 out of the 8 candles released in the collection except for Lemon Drops while I was in the store.

Frosted Cupcake

Description

A true sweet tooth's delight! Fresh vanilla bean, sugar, cake batter and rich buttercream frosting, mixed up to create an irresistible scent.

My Thoughts

Frosted Cupcake smells just like its name,  frosted cupcake. On a cold sniff I smell a vanilla scent mixed with buttercream. The candle doesn't smell over sweet on a cold sniff, but this candle does smell like cake batter. I've heard and read reviews that the throw on this candle is weak. I hope not because if the throw is weak... back to the store these candles will go lol. I'll probably do an update once I burn one of these candle.

Lemon Drops

Description

That magnificent mouth-puckering mixture of sweet and tart is captured in this blend of fresh Lemon Zest, Sugar Crystals and a hint of Vanilla

My Thoughts

Lemon Drops where have you been all my life?! Seriously this is my favorite candle from the Sweet Shop Collection. I don't smell the hint of vanilla, but I smell the lemon zest and sugar crystals. This candle smells wonderful and the throw is moderate. I get more of sweet than tart scent which I like. I think that's why I didn't get some of the other candles because they had more of a tart scent and I wanted more of a sweet scent.

Did you get anything from the Sweet Shop Collection?
