Happy Halloween from the Ice Queen

Happy Halloween!

As you can see this year I decided to do Ice Queen makeup! I was a little unsure of what I wanted to be this year in terms of Halloween, but I finally decided on being an ice queen. What I love about this look is that it's something totally different than what I would normally create.

Last week Urban Decay sent me a PR UD Halloween Box filled with makeup goodies! I used a good bit of the products to create this look! Thanks again Urban Decay!!

Teal was my color of choice for this Ice Queen.  If my eyes look a little red it's due to allergy and sinus issues lol

I added some jewels on my forehead, and I made my ice crown. For some reason crowns were scarce in stores this year, so I just made one instead! The joys of being a crafty girl lol!

All makeup products used

Wishing everyone who celebrates a fun and safe Halloween!

Halloween Decor 2018

Hello Everyone!

As the introduction pictures says, Come in my Pretties! Halloween is almost here! I'm not a big Halloween person, but I do like have some Halloween decor around the house. Today I wanted to share with you my Halloween decor.

Target Dollar Spot and Dollar Tree were my go to places for affordable cute Halloween Decor (and Fall decor in general)

These pumpkins that change colors are so pretty. I was a little surprised to see these in the Dollar Spot at Target. I purchased two of these pumpkins.

Dollar Tree has so many great Halloween Items this year. They've really stepped up the Halloween items within the past few years.

Did you decorate for Halloween?

Ulta Fall Haul 2018

Hello Everyone!

On Tuesday I had a few errands to run, and I found myself at Ulta lol! Since it's a new season, I wanted to get a few new beauty items.

Goodies from Ulta!

Ralph Lauren Romance is one of my longtime favorite scents. I remember I used to sneak in my mom's favorite bottle of Romance in high school!

Estee Lauder Pleasures is another nice scented fragrance, and this set came with a perfume, lotion, and cute gold bag.

Can you believe these products are my very first Morphe purchases? I've heard so many positive reviews about Morphe Brushes and I needed a few new crease brushes. What other brushes should I try from Morphe? As for the Jaclyn Hill Palette, I've been wanting this palette for a while and the colors are so beautiful!

On Wednesday I went to another Ulta because I forgot something the day before. It's been pretty cold here the past few days, and yes that's a Chick Fil A cup of soft serve ice cream. It's never too cold ice cream!

Here's a Real Techniques Miracle Sponge. That was my forgotten item. If you've been following social media, you likely heard of the drama with Jaclyn Hill's vault collection of palettes. Some well known beauty influencers and other makeup fans have said they experienced issues with the palettes in the vault collection. The drama surrounding the quality continued even after a re-release. I swatched Dark Magic (pictured above) a few weeks ago in Ulta. My take is that some of the shadows are chalky. Pigmented, but chalky.  I usually stay clear of chalky shadows since they can be hard to blend, but I'm going to remain optimistic I can work with this palette. The colors are just so beautiful! You guess right if you think I'm posting a review! Stay tuned!

Cherry Inspired Makeup Looks Feat. Urban Decay Naked Cherry Collection

Hello Everyone!

As promised I'm back with my cherry inspired makeup looks! I broke these posts up into two since I didn't have time to create the makeup looks by time I posted the Urban Decay Naked Cherry Collection last week. I wanted to fully review the collection and create makeup looks for the second post.

1. Cherry Blossom

This first look is a daytime inspired look. The colors are perfect for Fall to create an warm toned daytime look.

For this eye makeup look (I primed my lids with MAC Paint Pot in Painterly) I started by using Devilish all in my crease, followed by Bing all over my lid.

I went back over my lid and I added Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo Inked in Pink in the center and on top of the Maybelline Color Tattoo. After blending the Maybelline Color Tattoo on the center of the lid, I used Young Love. Young Love pairs well on top of the Maybelline Color Tattoo.

For My Lower Line, I used the UD Eyeliner Pencil in Black Market. I absolutely love the quality of these eyeliner pencils. The smooth gliding made applying eyeliner on my lid simple. To finish my eye makeup, I used Covergirl Peacock Mascara.

To give my cheeks a glow I used the golden highlighter from the Naked Cherry Highlighter and Blush Palette. Since it's Fall and I love a dark vampy lipstick I used Cherry from the Naked Cherry Lipsticks

Urban Decay Naked Cherry All Nighter Setting Spray

For both looks I used the UD All Nighter Setting Spray. My makeup remained in tact majority of the day. I had high hopes for the setting spray and it delivered!

2. Smoked Cherry Cut Crease

The second look is more of a soft makeup look. Fall is perfect for wearing a Smokey eye, so I figured why not add a little cherry to this Smokey eye. This look would also make for great date night makeup.

For this eye makeup look I used a Maybelline Fit Me Concealer as a base. This is more of a soft Smokey eye look. I used Privacy in my crease. Privacy is a reddish brown shade, but I like that it makes for a nice Smokey eye.

I went back over my lids with the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer and took the concealer  out to my Outer V to make a small wing liner. After finishing the wing liner, I went back over my lids with Juicy. On lower lash line I'm wearing UD Eyeliner Pencil in Black Market.

Summer may have ended, but I still like to have glowy skin sometimes during the Fall. Once again I used the gold highlighter from the UD Highlighter and Blush Palette. I wanted to keep this look soft, so I used UD Naked Cherry Lipstick Juicy.  It's a beautiful nude shade with speckles of glitter.

I said this in my last post, and I'm saying it again. I absolutely love this collection! Now that I've had a chance to create makeup looks I love the collection even more! Thank you again Urban Decay!! I think this is a beautiful collection and cherry is thinking outside the box. You'll definitely see more makeup looks using this makeup collection! Did you get anything from the Urban Decay Naked Cherry Collection?

Urban Decay Naked Cherry Collection

Hello Everyone!

* Disclaimer: This post contains a PR Sample provided by Urban Decay Cosmetics for review purposes. I would like to thank  Urban Decay Cosmetics for sending these products. All opinions are 100% my own. Product information is courtesy of Urban Decay.

I'm pretty excited about today's post. Urban Decay sent me their latest Naked Cherry Collection...the entire collection! I recieved mine a little late since UPS didnt even attempt to deliver the package to my address! I didn't let that steal my joy. I had to go to UPS and pick it up and when I got home I opened a box to an AMAZING surprise! I'm still in shock that I have this beautiful collection!

I love the Cherry! I thought this was a brilliant idea for the PR Packaging!  This is a keepsake that I will always cherish!

I'm still amazed at this beautiful packaging and all the makeup contents inside the cherry!

If you follow Urban Decay on social media, you may have seen the launch party for the Naked Cherry Collection a few weeks back. The launch party looked like it was so much fun!

Naked Cherry Collection

The Naked Cherry Palette is a beautiful palette. I love all the pink and plum shadows. This palette is perfect for Fall and Winter. I think UD did a great job with the color selection for Naked Cherry.  It's different from the rest of neutral naked palettes as far as color selection. Typically the colder months are for Smokey eye makeup and vampy makeup looks in general, but this palette is great alternative if you're looking for something other than dark makeup. I love that Naked Cherry is a warm toned palette! Fallout is minimal and all the colors are pigmented. Hot Spot was a little patchy when applied without primer on my arm, but primer should be able to fix that.

 Swatches Part 1

Swatches Part 2

Swatches

Those highlighters and blush give me life! Seriously how gorgeous are these shades?! As you can see from my swatches, the highlighters and blush are very pigmented.

Naked Cherry Vice Lipstick in Cherry, Juicy, and Devilish

These colors are perfect for Fall. I know that Cherry is going to be a favorite lipstick for the season. I love deep berries and reds for Fall. I already have plans to create holiday makeup looks using the two metalic lipsticks. They're so pretty!

I'm so happy the Naked Cherry Collection included a setting spray. I've used a few setting sample setting sprays over the years from UD that I like, so I have high hopes for this setting spray. This setting spray is scented. You probably guess it, the scent is Cherry! I was hoping for more of a sweet cherry scent rather than a medicinal scent. The scent is tolerable, and it's not overpowering.

24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Black Market and Love Drug

I can't believe I accidentally deleted the swatches of the eye pencils! I'll be using these in my makeup tutorials, but these have to be the smoothest gliding pencils that I own. The quality is very good!

Overall I think the Naked Cherry is an amazing collection. I like the versatility of the colors and the warm tones. You can use this palette any time of the year, but I like how these colors were released during the Fall. I've seen so many beautiful Fall warm toned looks using makeup from the Naked Cherry Collection.  I already have a few makeup ideas that I plan to create. I should have the makeup looks posted early next week, so stay tuned! I want to thank Urban Decay once again for sending me the Naked Cherry Collection for review!

Fall Decorate with Me!

Hello Everyone!

I know that Fall has been here for at least 3 weeks now, and I'm just getting around to my Fall Decorations post. Better late than never right? I did get to post my Target Bullseye Playground Haul: Fall Edition and Projects with Pilar: Fall DIY's. You will see various items from those previous posts. For today's post, I wanted to share some of my Fall decorations. Between 2 different hurricane preparations, sinus infections, and life in general, I haven't had much time to fully decorate for Fall. I'm getting there though!

This is a set up in the corner on one of the counters in the kitchen. How perfect does the mug and coffee press match colors! The green is exactly the same! My kitchen isn't very big, but I made this setup work.

Did you today is national dessert day? I decided to celebrate accordingly lol

At the last minute I added magnets on those blue ceramic pumpkins so I could place them on the stove. I'm probably going to add fruit to the basket.

Do you remember I mentioned that I had other magnets in addition to the glitter magnets  that I made? The other magnetic leaves are from Bath & Body Works.

I didn't have this maple leaf vibe I made in my Fall DIY post. I don't think I was finished making the leaf vine by time I posted my Fall DIY's. I really like how the vine looks around the countertop. You can my little pumpkin patch I made using the Bath & Body Works wooden crate.

More decor on the countertop. That ceramic pumpkin with the lid is one of my favorite decorative pieces.

Whether you're close with your relatives or close friends, family is a word that is very important to me. Close bonds are special even if they're non family related. I thought the family sign looks nice under the TV stand in the living room.

I love to add throw pillows to the sofa chaise, and it makes the living room look so cozy.

I used the granny square blanket I made a few years ago again this year for the recliner.

The pumpkins have completely taking over! When I picked up the ceramic snack plates I wanted to use one set as decor and the other set for snacks.

As mentioned earlier in the post, I'm not finished decorating, but here are a few more decorations.

Home, a place of peace and serenity.
