Crocheting Project: Fall Themed Granny Square Afghan

Hello Everyone!

Disclaimer:
My apologies for the missing pictures. My pictures were accidentally deleted off my blog. Please Refer to my Instagram account miss_pilar to view the pictures (or some of the pictures) that were deleted.

I've been meaning to post this since last Saturday (10/12/13), but I didn't get around to doing so until now. Anyways, here is my latest project! Since it's Fall, I went ahead and made the Fall themed Granny Square Afghan. As you can tell I did a large Granny Square pattern rather than the single squares. I love how all the colors really give me a feel of the Fall season. This project took me about two weeks to finish.

Stay tuned for my next crocheting project that I'm going to post in the next few days :)

Pilar

Thank you! I think that's one of the best things about crocheting, the results :) However, working on the project in general can be fun and relaxing too! I love looking at other people creations too.

Thanks Laurie! You should take out your yarn :) Now that it's Fall, I've really been into my crocheting projects. I have more projects that I'll be working on in the upcoming weeks.

Thank you! Over the years I always wanted to learn to crochet, but I never stuck with it. My mom first tried to teach me when I was about 9. Well last year I was determined to stick with it and I did. I focused on crocheting instead of giving up or procrastinating. Here I am today, I absolutely love crocheting! So the credit goes to my mom for teaching me :) I hope that I'll be able to start working on those beginner tutorials soon so I can help others learn to crochet!

Thank you!! Be on the lookout because I will be posting another crocheting project very soon!

Thank you so much Liz! I have thought about opening up an Etsy shop or displaying my work at a craft booth. I've been looking into both. I have a few more projects I'm working on but after I'm done with those, I would like to make items I could sell. I should be posting my other crocheting project this week!

I've been seeing those lately! I'll probably make one!

My grandma tried to teach me when I was younger but I never got very far in learning! I'm left handed too so I always got confused haha! Someday I'll try again!

Pilar said...

Yeah it really does take patience! I saw a YouTube crocheting video where the lady was left handed too. Before I make my tutorials, I'm going to see if I can find a way for both left and right handed people can follow without getting confused. I'm not sure if it's possible, but I'm going to try! Good you're going to try it again someday! Once you get the hang of crocheting, it's really fun!

Thank you Amanda! This project wasn't too bad, it didn't take that long. I definitely have to maintain patience when working on larger projects! lol I want to eventually learn how to make Amigurumi!
