My Life in January 2017

Hello Everyone!

Today's post is the first monthly lifestyle post of the year! Is it me or is January usually a very dry month on terms of events? I don't know what it is about January, but there's really not a lot of things that go on in January for me. Nonetheless, I still wanted to share what I've been up too.

Happy New Year 2017

Technically I took this on the January 2nd lol, but here's my first Selfie of the year

New Year, New Start

Foods

This was dinner from my mom's birthday. She wanted homemade chicken noodle salad.

A homemade sweet potato pie for my mom's birthday. She opted out of a wanting a cake since we just had cupckaes for my birthday. Our birthdays are exactly 2 weeks to the date apart.

I'm still eating grapes again this month lol. I decided to pick up a few lemons as well.

Food for Thought, when life give you lemons make Lemonade! I'm a true believer of this statement!

My Homemade crockpot mac and cheese

Dinner is Served! Ham with Pineapples, Green Beans, Mac and Cheese, and Cornbread.

Crocheting

I mentioned in last two posts that I've been crocheting a lot lately. Sometimes I think we can forget about the hobbies that we love. I have so much fun when I'm making new items and when I'm having anxiety issues, crocheting helps to ease my symptoms.

Mirror selfies remind me that I'm a short girl lol.

Red Crochet Accessories and Captain America

I mention in the last post that I haven't done a popcorn stitch in a long time. I'm pleased with the result of my beanie.

I was actually sick when I took this selfie. I've been feeling under the weather since the weekend with sinus and allergy issues. Hopefully I'll start feeling better soon!

Working on another project soon.  I've been getting a few emails about purchasing some of my crocheting items and my other crafts. I'm currently not selling anything, but I'm thinking about opening up a Etsy Shop in the future.  This is something I've wanted to do for quite some.  time.  I used to sell some of my crafts locally, I'm thinking about getting back into that as well.

Miscellaneous

The Face I make when it feels extremely cold outside. I've been putting my crochet accessories to good use in these frigid temperatures.

Bath time. There's nothing like a relaxing and peaceful bath.

January 13th was National Rubber Ducky Day.

Bare face selfie and sitting outside on the steps enjoying the Sunny weather. I took more selfies, but I'm didn't want to over post since I plan on doing a few makeup related posts in February.

I washed my hair last Friday. I used Coconut Oil to deep condition my hair since the weather has been dry and cold off and on my poor hair has felt so dry lol!

After I washed my hair I decided to switch up my hairstyle for the day with this braided crown.

A few days ago Beauty bakerie liked two of my pictures and followed me on Instagram! I was pretty excited about that!

How was your January?  I hope everyone's year is off to a great start!

Yes, January is slow for me as well. But that helps me refocus after the holiday season, so I dont mind it too much.

I always have a bunch of lemons in my fridge because I start every day with a mug of hot lemon water. Baths are even better when it's cold out aren't they :)

I've always wanted to try sweet potato pie, Pilar. Yours looks so Yummy. The homemade chicken noodle salad sounds good too. Jess loves those rubber duckies, so cute. And how special it is that when life gives you lemons, you make Lemonade! You are a good person, Pilar, and I hope this year brings all that you deserve.

Have a blessed weekend, dear.
